Dragon Spear Staff Combat Posture

I had wanted a naginata-type weapon for my staff character and was really happy with how the Dragon Spear looked, and was excited that it was finally on sale today. But when I equip it I get this:



...why would you hold a weapon with one hand on the blade? It's hard to tell if the bit she's actually supporting is edged or not, but it definitely looks like her last couple fingers are about to be sliced off. It would make much more sense to have the model moved to the left so that both hands are supporting the shaft. The in-town stance is more reasonable with the hand at the very top of the shaft.

I get that it probably can't be changed because all two-handed skins are automatically positioned the same way, and it's just an unfortunate side effect of being a very non-standard skin. But it does sour my purchase a bit.
