New melee support gems

So I've been thinking, some of those new melee support gems from the beta are pretty amazing. One thing came to mind.

With Kitava's Feast you have built-in melee splash, and many perks that make it better than Atziri's Disfavour in some ways.

I play Heavy Strike.

Atziri's Disfavour requires MPD + FA + Multistrike + Added Fire Damage + Melee Splash.

But with Kitava's Feast, Melee Splash is not necessary, so it leaves room for one of these frankly sweet new support gems, such as Maim or Ruthless.

Kitava's Feast also doesn't have a bleed chance and has built-in significant leech, so I could free up all the points that went into the Bloodletting circle, giving me 3 free points to put into damage.

So my question is: do you think, with all of the above considered, that switching to Kitava's Feast with Maim or Ruthless support would give me comparable or better damage results than currently with Atziri's Disfavour?

If not, think I could switch any of the above support gems in Disfavour to Main or Ruthless for better results?

I've also been thinking if going Brutality instead of Added Fire Damage and replacing Hatred aura with Haste would sum up to greater damage than what I have currently.
