Ideas to Fix the lab

I am with 6 portals.
People who don't like the Labyrinth are not a minority: Be heard - say you don't like it in your signature. Don't leave complaining about lab to others - GGG needs to see how many people dislike it. Ascendancy must be gated on true ARPG content, not a poorly-crafted internet Legend of Zelda wannabe.

Byrr, making a currency item idea for ascendancy is an interesting idea that demonstrates the flexibility and power of the PoE concept for currency orbs. This specific great idea for this use of this currency orb concept has also been documented as one of the many options for improving the labyrinth here, https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1609216, as suggestion IV.

guntama, this strange design decision to disable town portals in labyrinth by GGG causes much frustration for the player base. Unlike other areas of PoE if the dog needs to be let out, or someone wants to trade, or the phone rings, etc. it causes unnecessary problems and hassles unique to the labyrinth. It demonstrates that labyrinth still has many design problems outstanding that should get fixed. Labyrinth rework idea 4 here, https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1609216, describes a similar suggestion but in more detail.

Six portals for the lab?
If I die six times in a map I most likely will ragequit for the day.

I'm all in for some sort of disconnect reconnect mechanic, pretty sure it can be done quite easily. If the game recognized that you dropped out of the lab without using a portal or dying then the person gets to continue from the area he left.

This of course will make logout-macros become more common in softcore as well :D

You cannot.
Anything that comes from the client, can be emulated, and will eventually be hacked and reproduced for exploiting purposes ( because there are exploiting purposes here, as : cheating death, clearly ).



And nobody gets "randomly one shot" unless it's Izaro, and then ... it's not random, so no, nobody gets randomly one shot in the lab.
I'm curious to know how much the normal lab has been shortened already.

Trials are necessary, they are teaching the way traps work before entering the lab, and they are part of the lore on top of that.


And no for multi-portals, that's the only content that cannot just be zerged, and that's a good thing imho.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
