Molten shell + Curse on hit

Does this not work? Is molten shell's fire damage not considered a "hit"? I'm trying to use a cwdt > molten shell > curse on hit > warlard's mark setup but the curse isn't proccing.

Aren't you better of including the curse in the cwdt range and having an extra socket?

EDIT: to answer your question, i do think it satisfies the definition wiki gives for a hit so not sure what the problem is. Are you sure the shield is exploding and not just timing out? If the curse is within cwdt range that could be causing support confusion. Try changing gem order.

This is the culprit. A Spell can only be Supported by one Trigger at a time (for the purposes of this rule, Curse on Hit is considered a Trigger). Your Warlord's Mark currently is lower level than the CWDT required minimum level, which means the game "attempts" to use both Triggers and fails because of that rule.

Your setup will work fine as soon as your Warlord's Mark required level is higher than 44 (assuming your CWDT stays the same level; if you level up your CWDT then your Warlord's Mark will likely need to be even higher level-requirement). The goal is for Curse on Hit to support your Warlord's Mark, but not CWDT.

I will try it out with warlord's mark outside of the cwdt level range.

I've ran a similar setup before with cwdt triggering tempest shield, and tempest shield triggering a curse through curse on hit, so I know it should work.
