One was Michael Reardon, a free soloist who drowned in 2007 after being swept from a ledge below a sea cliff in Ireland. I look at these guys and what they do, and I am simultaneously baffled and awed. Is it possible to feel scorn and admiration in equal measure? Apparently it is. I have no respect for what they do, I think it's senseless... at the same time, I have tremendous respect for the sheer difficulty of the achievement. The Wheel of Nerfs turns, and builds come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the build that gave it birth comes again.
