BiWeekly Data of % Players Distribution by League?

Is there any downside for GGG as a company to help players by releasing their % Population Distribution (picture below) on a weekly or biweekly basis? This will only show the % of population with no actual value. So that new/current players can decide which league to play judging by recent population base. I guess this wasn't a problem before, but right now we have so many different Leagues that it's hard for players to decide without additional information. Like right now, I'd really love to know the population in Permanent League compared to Legacy Temporary League.

It can be data from any particular hour of the week or data of players who logged in for more than 1 hour or whatever, but some data would already be really useful.

transparency, player retention, I could go on and on...

Look at this recent post for example (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1904813), and there's always people asking these on a weekly/monthly basis.

So we can have the daily d3 forum style threads of "POE IS DYING !!!1111" last time they mentioned numbers they said that 160k unique players were online for the start of legacy, chris also said that more then 80% of the player base plays the temp leagues, which leaves 19% for standard and 1% for perm hardcore.

He talks about the player split here

Because 80% of our players play in challenge leagues, it's important to have a way to engage less fully with new league content.

Thank you so much for the link. Does Diablo 3 actually punish their population figures regularly?

Or they get fed up with volatiles and DC deaths or Ping issues.

I mean I got the hc achivement and didnt care too much about dying but now that I work and have wife dont have much time for HC, as its heavy time investment when you do die.

Would you mind sharing a few of those downsides with us? I couldn't think of some, hence I made this thread for some brainstorming.
