Midnight Bargain.... Worth it?

Hello I recently have saved enough money to be able to buy this great wand, but I started thinking is it really the best way for me to go?

I should tell you a little about my character and hopefully you can steer me in the right direction.

My current build




With this build I currently have 2200 hps and < 25% resistances across the board. Needless to say this is not a mountain of health but I do pretty well with double totem and double curse.

If I were to have Midnight Bargain I would switch my build to something more along the lines of this.



This when equipping a kite shield would pump me to to 75 resist all not to mention a hefty amount of block and perhaps some other bonuses such as mana or more ES to again boost my mana. The rub is this... Because I don't cast myself and because of that mana is not really an issue for me.

So my question to the other summoners is this. What makes Midnight Bargain so damn attractive?

Forgive me if I'm saying something wrong, but u don't have any chaos res either in your gear or spec tree. O_O" How do u manage?

Except the adequate Bones of Ullr, for me none of the summon uniques can really outweight its disadvantages.
Even with gosu equipment, not to mention its price, and 75% chaos-resist on it with -30% life from MB an ES-char is fragile like hell, without he gets almost always oneshottet in higher maps by chaos-creatures.
Life-characters do somewhat better, but there the -30% life is a way overdone tradeoff...
QD is similar. With the "ES from shield" and the normal ES passives my 350ES-spiritshield alone provides me a total of ~1,5k ES by itself, not to mention 60% block, stats...
And all this for... a complete inable Minion-AI... where 4+ specres firing (and actually hitting) and not running around like chickens is a rare scene especially in closed areas...
My advise, skip em.

If you didn't have to trade the 30% life it might be worth it, but that makes the item less valuable to me. Personally I don't see what it would do to my build, but it's not like I don't want it, just the cost is so outrageous I may as well wait for something else. For that price I can add some stats to my minion helm that I'd want more than the wand. That being said, there will come a time where that wand will be one of the last things on my list of things to complete a fully decked out summoner. It will come at a time where I wouldn't even dream of losing that kind of currency. That time isn't now. :)
