Cheated Death sort of

I'm in Normal Labyrinth and was fighting Argus but had ran out of flask charges and ran to the next area door and clicked it and then Argus hit me and I died it said revive in town on screen and I thought I lost the Labyrinth but then it spawned me in the next area with the text of me being slain but I could still continue.
