How does corrupted Vaal implicit interact?

For example, lets take the boot implicit of "Grants level 14 Haste Skill"

So if i were to put in a blood magic in my boot links, would this affect the level 14 haste skill and make it reserve health instead of mana?

I believe you are correct. The only support gems that don't work like that are enlighten, empower, and enhance. Those have to be linked to an actual gem.

So what if an item has blood magic on it, like this Prism Guardian

Shouldn't the haste vaal'd implicit be modified by the items properties?
Or do they simply behave just like the enlighten/enhance/empower gems?

Without the blood magic gem in the sockets the Grace provided by the shield implicit does not use blood magic. Even tho the shield says that "socketed" gems have blood magic, the grace doesn't get blood magic unless i put in blood magic.. so why shouldn't enligten affect it?

empower etc can only support skill gems. same with the shield mod. it even mentions "socketed gems". You aura from implicit is neither socketed nor gem

If you wanted to say that those vaal implicits suck, then I would actually agree:) . Across the board there are few that are very strong, but vast majority is really useless. I think vaal implicits could be made more interesting in general.. some of them also lost value due to many power creep waves.. for example, would you believe that corrupted implicits (and atziri uniques) used to be the only ways of getting elemental damage leech besides the support gem?
