How implicit work, noob question

I got 600 hours in the game but somehow, i dont know this. And i coulnt find any answer on wiki or reddit/google.

I was wondering a question about armor crafting and stats.
If i have an item with 500 ES (top stats i think its called implicit) and the Bottom stats show +100 es. Does the implicit add up the bottom stat? Is this a 600 es chest or in reality a 400+100 so my implicit show 500?

Also i was wondering if it's the same thing about armor.

Thanks if you can clarify

No that's the item's base stat. It's probably a suit of Vaal Regalia; those don't have implicits unless they're corrupted (possibly other ways but I can't remember). An implicit is a secondary stat that's always present on the item base, like the +spell damage on an occultist's vestment.

To illustrate, let's look at my (weak, but a 6L) necromancer silks:

They're like vaal regalia but worse by 50 base Energy Shield, so 125. +86 flat, +82%(20 from quality and 62 from mod) and we get the 386 (385.84, actually).

This item has NO implicit. Only explicit mods.

And yes, it's the same with armour. Such as my boots:

These only have +20% quality to change their basic stat (armour); the explicit mods do other things (very useful ones, for me at least). If they weren't corrupted, they'd have no inplicit either, but they have one: +1 max frenzy charge. That is an implicit. You can tell it by its placement under the requirements to use, and over the explicit, between those horizontal lines. The rare chest has one less line there, due to no implicit.

Hope this raises more answers than questions :)

Wow !! Thanks man. That's a really clear answer.

So just to make sure the base stats add up all the other stats togheter. So the chest with 500 es and stats with es like maximum es and increase es dosnt have more ES then the 500 es with other stats like res.

My life has changed. Thank you man!
Glad to help. Yes, the number at the top is what you get. Before character modifiers, of course.
