Thread Bump Mechanic
So, after a while a small button appears under your name as the owner of the thread. This button, with a "B" inside it allows you to bump the thread without creating fake posts so you don't bloat the thread content. This is a fantastic little button, and I love having it around. Typically I only use it for my build guides, and will hit it after making a change to the guide.
However, does anyone know what the actual rules are for the button? I haven't been able to determine what exactly makes it appear. It doesn't seem to be a strict time limit from what I can tell. It doesn't appear to be related to how far your thread has fallen. All I know is it's always there when I feel like I would like to bump my thread. So the rules for it (for me) do feel correct, but I was wondering what precisely they are. Last bumped on Mar 12, 2017, 7:39:26 PM

I don't start a lot of threads so I'm not sure. But my guess would be it is only a feature in certain forums like the trade ones.

Hi Exiles,
Just for information you are allowed to bump trade threads once per hour, and for non-trade threads these are allowed to be bumped once per day :) |
