game freeze

it does not crash or anything, simply freeze in the middle of the game, i try reinstalling but still freeze.

" when did it start for you? freeze last for me like 20-30 seconds and fix itself, but freeze again after a few minute. alt-tab during freeze check my internet and its still working. so i dont know whats going on weird thing is i can still check option menu and even game options like skill tree, i just could move or assign skills or move items or do anything, just freeze. |

I thought it was last night's (EST) patch too, but apparently Rogers is having issues all over southwestern Ontario. This morning I tried for approx. 30mins to get through Kaom's area, but the constant disconnects caused the game to hard lock/freeze every few minutes.
I heard IPv6 isn't affected. Also Rogers hasn't been forthcoming with info about what's been happening. |

" oh ok thx for the info, im also using rogers in gta area. so i guess this is a problem from our end then? at first i thought maybe something wrong with game server, about to email ggg. You could try and pass on the particulars of your issue to Rogers via their Twitter @RogersHelps. There's also thread on DSLReports you could track for info.
I am still getting disconnects idling in my TeamSpeak server so the issues definitely aren't resolved yet. It's very frustrating. It has nothing to do with PoE. It's a network issue that affects all IPv4 connections (apparently).
Streaming, online games (take your pick)...they are all affected. Edit: if you were to open a ticket with their Twitter staff you could pass on your WinMTR, but other than that it seems we are playing the "waiting game" (instead of a fun game like PoE). Played for awhile around 10am-1pm with no issues. The freezing started when I came back around 4pmish (all eastern time). Why am I not surprised to see this is a Rogers issue, like always.

I am having the same issue, I also use Rogers in Southern Ontario. This started around 2pm EST March 9, 2017. It became a constant thing around 3pm EST.
No problems all season until today specifically not after any specific update or anything. Game just randomly freezes for 30 seconds or so then tries to play catch up. If you input spam you will be disconnected so you can spam-click like 10 skills then hope your character isn't dead otherwise risk being disc. Otherwise everything runs smooth, I didn't realize it was a rogers issue specifically until I saw this thread which sadly makes sense. This issue doesn't seem to affect my browser, youtube videos...etc. However it did affect my discord and access to the PoE official site specifically while it was frozen in the game. |
