POE and Battle.Net
TL;DR - Battle.net Launcher causes latency issues with POE. Made me miss 90% of Breach league. RIP.
" I was having an issue for many months. I literally was unable to play POE since shortly after the start of Breach. I kept logging in week after week, hoping my lag issues would be fixed. (Anytime I would move my latency would shoot up to 1k plus) But they weren't. I had given up hope. I logged in today to see if it was fixed, it wasn't. I decided to stop being lazy and do some testing. I started installing the non-steam client... But while I was waiting I started running some wireshark logs, I started to close some other open applications (So I had less crap running for the logs). I noticed the latency problem had completely disappeared. I was intrigued. I restarted my computer and started closing apps one by one with POE open to see if closing one helped the issue. Closing the Battle.net Launcher fixed the problem. I started B.net again, the issue came back up. I did this a few more times to be sure, but every single time I did it... This happened. This was 100% the issue (In my case). Now, I'm not sure why... But it looks like the battle.net launcher is causing some issues with POE. I'm going to bed, so I won't delve into why b.net is causing this issue. Maybe tomorrow if I remember. This sounds like something you should e-mail to tech support, to be honest. Or at least post it in the tech support forum.

Yeah this happened to me months before. I got an insanely bad performance playing some PoE until I discovered it was the waternet launcher.

Battle.net? Just deactivate it if you dont run any blizzturd game.

Pretty sure the BNET launcher utilizes P2p networking. Wouldn't surprise me if that was causing network issues and bogging down your bandwidth when running whilst poe is up.
Jkurs on twitch, come and join the action . :) Last edited by Jkurs#0928 on Feb 24, 2017, 10:56:10 AM
