Use windows default sound outputs? HowTo or QoL requested.
Hi folks. I've done my search and haven't seen anything like this yet. I have speakers in my monitor, headphones, and a Samsung R1 bluetooth speaker. I'd like for PoE to use my current system selection/default for audio output. It beats freaking out when the speakers blast out full volume when people are trying to sleep.
Thank you for your time. Last bumped on Jan 29, 2017, 3:59:40 AM

" what? i mean really unless you are using multiple audio cards on your computer then PoE uses what your computer is using. other than that you can go into settings and look at the sound options. if you DO in fact have multiple options in which are available you can change them in the drop down box. | |
" That "unless" factor is pretty normal for a huge amount of gamers: normal speakers plugged into the onboard soundcard and a USB headset. PoE doesn't use the windows default setting but simply remembers your settings (this makes obviously sense, settings shouldn't be ignored). However, a "use windows default output" setting is a really basic feature that PoE would only profit from. Granted, it's not the biggest issue in the world, but still kinda annoying to having to switch manually. Also, https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/75510/page/1#p7027370 mentions that in the past it was the exact opposite: PoE only ran on your default device, and that feature was apparently removed when they added settings for the sound output :( (or I'm missing something, but I can't get it to work) Last edited by Vexra#0734 on Jan 29, 2017, 4:00:12 AM
