Some Mao Kun Science

Like loot explosions? Don't mind picking up some currency? Perhaps you play Hearthstone and are sick of pirate decks and would like to take your revenge?

Well Mao Kun is for you!

(TL;DR - Loot is from 6 runs at a cost of 48c on BSC)

The map is full of pirates. They do a fair amount of damage and can mob you pretty good.
You first go around the map in a circle killing all of the mobs. Then take a quick trip through the middle and clean up the rest of the pirates.

Next, you'll go find Fairgraves (he's at the X on the map, obviously!) Click him and all the pirates you killed will come back to life for more XP. Start your genocide all over again. As you kill they will spawn some booty chests. Opening the chests is similar to opening an Arcanist's Strongbox. Be careful, as you try to loot, Fairgraves will spawn to protect his booty! I believe damaging him will allow some loot to spawn from him, but he does some massive damage with GMP spectral throws. So I just run away like a pansy.

After you've opened all the chests (7 i think), Fairgraves will spawn inside a circle of ghost pirates. He does less damage with his GMP spectral throw, but he also does a spiraling spectral throw as well. Kill him and he drops loot like a normal boss.

Here are my results from 6 maps which cost 48c on BSC. I started at lvl 79.1 and got about 2.5 levels worth of experience. The uniques were vendor trash and the cards were 5 "the Gambler"

Small Time Buccaneer and Patches would make Fairgraves jealous of their awesomeness.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

Did you break even, hard to tell, looks close.
Mao Kun 4 lyfe. Always come out ahead there. I've had 2 exalt drops in Mao Kuns this league. Nothing better than that booty.
U MAD?
Yarr matey, the booty be nice!

15c
4r=4c
2gcp=2c
9v=9c
7sextant=7c
4regret=4c
13scour=5c
38fuse=12-19c? (varies)
100 jewelers=25f= 10-12c?
27 alch= 6c
45chance=4-6c?
4 chisel=1c
21 yellow maps+1 red map= idk, but good for pool
7 uniques= maybe 3 alch

Rest of crap= maybe 5c

So ~ 86-100c?

I died a bunch of times because I'm bad at this game and because I'm new to melee and cyclone. But 2.5 levels was pretty good I think.

If you are just doing it for profit at like a lvl 87+ char? I think there are far faster ways to make money that will yield better xp.

This is just something I do when I start new characters and they can do the map as I make some money, get some currency, get a bunch of maps to run and have a chance of getting lucky with an Exalt (though I haven't gotten one). Also it's a fun map :)

(I also opened a diviners box that I didn't include, and a +2 sockets box that I didn't include as it was an extra 21 jewelers orbs.)
