A maiden lost out by the sea

Hey guys. After reading the lore behind Merveil I wanted to throw something together that tries to capture the experience as you go through the caverns ultimately slaying Merveil.

As I enter these caves filled with shrieks and hallows
I wonder of the souls lost to these shadows
Now I have slain Amarissa and read a tale on sailors skin
and have been rewarded by cries of pain deep from within
To the Cavern of Anger where Ambrosia now falls
and once again I hear the cries from these halls
Of this monster I know not as it feels sorrow and pain
and she now calls out to me even by name

And now the final battle in these caves out by the sea
where once entered a woman now stands a monster before me
born of anger and grief and pain unknown
a woman cursed faded her heart torn and alone

As I lay the killing blow shattering the star you were possesed of
I realize that while I came to slay a demon what I found was a woman in love.
