[2.4] Duelist Slayer Hegemony's Era Earthquake

Hey. This is Duelist's Ascendancy class "Slayer" melee two hand physical crit build mostly based on utilizing Slayer's leech capabilities, physical reflect damage mitigation and increased area of effect radius and that 20% culliningus strike, man. Also amazing staff notables on a skill tree.

lvl75 First Atziri run with this character: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7AdFiZHyPg&feature=youtu.be
More video coming up soon. Maybe some guardians, haven't reached them yet, haven't played that much this league. And the dream would be Uber Atziri and Shaper. Which if I had to make my uneducated guess might be possible.

Character level 75 Stats:

Pros and Cons of the Build
Spoiler

+Beginner friendly.
+High map clear speed.
+High single target damage.
+Relatively tanky. Utilizes armor and evasion. That leech, bro. Life pool can easily be over 6k depending on how defensive you want your character to be.

-Not a Blade Flurry

Early-to-mid-game Passive Skill Tree progression(93 points used):

Baseline Passive Skill Tree for build to work as intended(93 points used):

My Current Passive Skill Tree(by the time uber lab video(link to YouTube below))(97 points used):

Ascendancy Tree:
Spoiler

1. Endless hunger - start leeching.
2. Brutal Fervour - get stun and bleed immunity.
3. Bane of Legends - that 20% cull, m8.
4. Headsman - MORE dmg, AOE and u can deal with phys reflect now if u want.

Current gear on Essence league:
Spoiler

The only piece of gear that is required for this build is a the staff.
On the rest of the gear try to get optimal amount of life and resists. Crit chance/multiplier, flat added physical damage, attack speed, weapon elemental damage on amulet, rings and belt is desirable.
At first was using Abyssus naively hoping I could sustain Immortal Call but that wasn't the case so I just found a rat's nest with a fitting enchant.
Was planning to buy Voidheart but in the last two days its price tripled so I'll take it maybe later.
Maligaro's Virtuosity is a good option if you manage to fit in the resists.
Carcass Jack.

Gem Setup:
Spoiler
Helm 4L - Cast when Damage Taken, Phase Run, Blood Rage, Increased Duration. I use CwDT at about lvl10 but feel free to level it to max or keep it at level 1, there's not that much of a difference.
Weapon 6L - Earthquake, Less Duration, Melee Physical Damage, Increased Critical Strikes, Increased Area of Effect / Concentrated effect(for Bosses), Added Fire Damage. I've 5-link so i added Wrath to the last unlinked socket ;)
Gloves 4L -Leap Slam, Faster Attacks, Fortify, Herald of Ash
Boots 4L - Ancestral Warchief, Melee Physical Damage, Faster Attacks, Concentrated Effect

Jewels
Spoiler

Prioritize Life, Crit Chance/Multiplier, Area Damage, Physical Damage and Attack Speed with Two Handed Melee Weapons or Staves

Flasks:
Spoiler

Bandits:
Spoiler
Normal - Oak for +40 life
Cruel - Passive or Oak for 16% Increased Physical Damage or Kraityn - 8% Faster Attack Speed. Either is okay.
Merciless - Alira - Power Charge or Oak - Endurance Charge. I picked Power charge since because of Staff passive notables(Blunt Trauma, Smashing Strikes) and Hegemony's Era itself(10% chance to get a power charge if you knock an enemy back with melee damage. Which is done by utilizing Blunt Trauma) you generate Endurance and Power charges by critting so you want to cap on it.

Leveling
Spoiler
Start with using some elemental AoE spell as you're traveling through bonus elemental and AoE damage passives anyway. Magma Orb, Flame Surge, Storm Call, Firestorm, Ice Nova,.. etc. are all good choices.
In the mid-game if you'll come across some nice decent DPS Axe, Mace of Staff, begin using Earthquake. At about level 58-60 I'd suggest buying some cheap 350-400 pDPS staff. They're about 1-3c.

Was thinking to do this build in 2.5, do you think it have potential to challenge shaper and uber atziri?

Haven't done Shaper with any character so can't say. With some six links on both Warchief totem and Earthquake, stacking poison and having at least some 6k HP it might be possible. Haven't pushed this build that far and I doubt I will until this league ends.
I mean clear is amazing with this character, would say the fastest I've had for sure, faster than BW assasin, haven't tried BW pathfinder, heard it's the best for that. It's a lab killer, you just cannot die there.
Frankly, I wouldn't wanna go start doing shaper with any HP build. I'm too reckless with my character. But it's just me.
I'd say go for it and try it at the start of the league. Hege's Era is always cheap, get some 6-link astral plate and it's all you need to get rolling your insane clear speed and single target with Warchief totem.
End-game should look something similar to this I suppose: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54xjLLyH3QY&t=80s
Sorry for uncertainty tho. Hope you'll learn more by trying yourself ;)

i just loot this 5L crit staff yesterday... is this a good alternative to Hegemony's Era?

You'll have to craft something on it which sometimes can be currency consuming. I personally never craft outside master crafting. But you can test your luck ;). Just get Hege's when you gather some currency. 5-linked goes for some 30-40c.
