DX11 Client (Beta) Steam
I have a LP computer so I need disable shadows but... If I run Path Of Exile under Steam and it show 2 options dialog, I select DX11 and POE always run with Low Shadow Quality but I cant change it to Off (only Low and High). PD: I try to run POE directly (...\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile\PathOfExile_x64Steam.exe), so Steam s*cks again... (okno x'D) Sry for my bad english :P $computer = array( "CPU" => "Intel i9-10900", "GPU" => "Nvidia RTX 3090", "RAM" => "64GB G.Skill Royal F4 3200MHz", "S.O" => "Windows 10 Pro x64" ); return $computer; Last edited by Cebun#1608 on Nov 21, 2016, 3:24:20 PM Last bumped on Dec 3, 2016, 11:45:01 PM

intended, the DX11 client is for those that have the hardware to use it, if you can't deal with shadows then you should be using the dx9 version

" what a narrow minded view ... my PC can handle shadows but i don't want to see them. the question is: why is GGG forcing something on us now that you could turn off before? Last edited by Ruefl2x#5824 on Nov 20, 2016, 7:21:33 AM

" I have i7-6700 with Intel HD Graphics 530 (it supports DX12 native) and without shadows and all in low quality I have 50-60fps (playing in DX11 Beta client, no steam). Only need change that Steam integration for allowing disable the shadows quality. $computer = array( "CPU" => "Intel i9-10900", "GPU" => "Nvidia RTX 3090", "RAM" => "64GB G.Skill Royal F4 3200MHz", "S.O" => "Windows 10 Pro x64" );
return $computer; |

My dx9 performance is bad, probably 20% worse than ever, and overall the load times and crashes are bad.
That being said dx11 peformance is around 40% better performance than before so that is fantastic. r9270x is the GPU im using. view-thread/1694128 Explosive Arrow 2.4 Pathfinder STD League

As much I like DX11, my only problem is the head-centred light is more apparent in the outside realms and I believe a feature like matching the light that emanates from the character to the the ambience of the map to be a good idea; to make the lighting feel right again.

" that would be a bit more convincing if, you know, ANYTHING ELSE THAN DX11 DIDN'T RESULT IN A FUCKING BLACK SCREEN. [s]only mindless sheep think labyrinth is OK to have in PoE.[/s]
okay nevermind labyrinth, fix dx9 blackscreen instead... |
