I have attempted to start POE with --ns, and --softwareaudio. I also went through pack check without any problems.

Same problem here. Tried --ns, --softwareaudio, restarting Windows Audio service and redownloading fmod.dll

Getting same issue I have win 7 and I have MSI 287 GD65 gaming Mobo built in sound card. I gave both steam and standalone.
I have tried every variation of -ns --nosound -swa --softwareaudio I have installed all new drivers after uninstalling all drivers. I run in and out of admin mode as well I run in compatibility mode. I have sent an email, I have had this issue for over 1 year I cannot play the game, I get no replies to any support about this issue and no one has a fix that works. I was really hoping the Expac would have brought a fix to this issue.
