Is the default PoE lootfilter public, anyone knows?
EDIT:
Even better; as title says, has the default ingame lootfilter been given to the public? Last edited by Jarnhand#0484 on Aug 3, 2016, 3:45:44 AM Last bumped on Aug 4, 2016, 4:31:53 AM

There is no "default" filter.
Or you could say that default filter is "Show All". And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

" I know there is no default filter file, but there is a ingame filter design, which also sites like this has to be using to be able to make the editor: http://bschug.github.io/poedit/poedit.html So I am guessing at some point GGG has published some kind of filter defaults... ... uh. Dude, it's so straightforward that it can trivially be reverse-engineered.
text color: Unique = brown rare = gold magic = blue normal = white currency = faded gold quest = green div cards = light teal skill gems = darker teal maps and map fragments additionally get a border with the above colors all backgrounds are black. All text size is the same (12 points? Maybe different) GGG doesn't need to "release" anything for people to be able to know these things and use them in a filter simulator. And even if you didn't want to reverse-engineer them (which could get you an approximation that's 1 or 2 bits off per color, since human color resolution is imperfect), you can examine the default colors by code dumping the game files. That's how poedb gets, like, all of its information. Last edited by codetaku#0468 on Aug 3, 2016, 7:32:11 AM

" Well, you are more or less correct, but its just not that easy if you want to make a good filter that is close to the default ingame filter. I have been able to find some of the specs for the colors that are used, also how the different sounds sound like but not which are used for what. So, if anyone got any more info, please let me know. I have used many hours on my current filter, and want to make it better, but at the same time be not too far away from the ingame original. I am using this editor: http://bschug.github.io/poedit/poedit.html This guide: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1260664 This post about the colors: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/31b1ue/default_color_values_for_your_item_filters/ The sounds: https://soundcloud.com/broa-2/sets/path-of-exile-alert-sounds And also gotten some information from the java code for the editor (poedit) on github. What I am looking for is the following: - If possible the ingame lootfilter defaults (the whole thing, or as much as possible). - If that is not possible I am looking for which sounds are used on which drops and at what volume (in the default ingame 'filter'), and the names of all the item classes and basetypes (I find it hard that GGG makes a lootfilter option, but not give out any information about how to spec it...). The basics of my lootfilter: - Its based on ZiggyD's and NeverSink's filters, but with less colors (less immersion breaking) and a lot shorter/simpler - I want it to be close to the original ingame default filter, but at the same time important/good items are better marked then by default Thanks for any help!.. |

" The only official info on ifilters is here https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1235695 but it is outdated. For more current info (from where did it come is big question though, reddit I guess, what else could it be these days) look in Davros' guide (I see you have already found it). "And again - there is NO "ingame default filter". You can see an example in that off.post but that's nothing like "default filter made by GGG". edit: there's no default filter because GGG claimed(rightfully) they can't make a filter that'll satisfy all users so they gave users an instrument to make their own filters. And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. If you want to be close to the original - then change just those things which you want.
Like RGB linked 6S 5L\6L In that case you will have "the core loot indication system" unchanged and those 4 (or whatever you want) would be highlighted in the way you've described it in your lootfilter. Simple enough. " They did. Search for the original loot filter announcement. As for all item names\bases - PoE wiki is your friend. P.S. there were no "default loot filter" published by GGG, because it is "built-in" in the game code. You can always ask GGG in private message for this info. Remember, suffering is convenient.
That is why many people prefer it. Happiness requires effort. |

If you do not specify different font sizes, colors and sounds in your filter the game will use the default ones, you don't really need to know the defaults.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" I know, that is what I am doing right now, but as I have tried to write there are a lot of settings it would be nice to know the value of. |
