LAB And Predictive Mode

Besides the Lab been a pain in the ass, predictive mode and traps just don't go together.

Been a casual player "have a real job unfortunately" the only time I die in the lab is to trigger spikes and Blade Sentry. When doing the Lab I play as careful as possible but to no avail.

The Blade Sentry stop whenever you activate a "switch or something" then their animation gets stuck, one thinks its safe to transverse an area only to find you're been sliced to pieces and that the Blade Sentry isn't where you thought it was.

Spike traps, I take my time here and watch the timing carefully, but lots of the times I'm been rubber banned back into the spikes. At times I think I'm well clear of the spikes and in another room already only to discover that I'm taking damage. When I resync or die I find that I'm not in the other room but stuck on a spike. The strange thing is that, sometimes I've even opened a door and it shows that its opened but I get shot back onto a spike and die.

Please fix these issue as not everyone lives in a first world country with Lockstep at their deck and call.
To Die Is Not An Option, To Fight Until DIESync Is The Only Answer. ☺☻☺

Out of curiosity, what kind of latency do you typically see? The reason I ask, is because I see huge differences in playability between high (for me on EU ~180ms) and low latency (for me on Garena ~10ms). On Garena I've tested lockstep and predictive and there's certainly a difference but no where near as pronounced as the difference between high and low latency.

Personally, I no longer participate in lab runs because I detest the whole idea. That said, even if I did 'enjoy' the process, the high latency/predictive mode would be enough to deter me, as it makes things considerably harder and on bad days, more or less unplayable.

Where are you located ?
If garena gives you such a great ping, chances are the singaporean server might be better than Europe ? ( need to type it manually, as it does nto show up in the list. Just input "singapore" )

Sorry for the Off-topic, but that's a useful information that might help and I wanted to share it.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

As I'm located in deepest darkest africa known as "South Africa", the best servers are one of the Europe ones and atm it's London which gives me +- 200ms more on the + side though, but can jump to way above 500ms when traps/spikes/boxes etc are triggered. Lockstep Mode isn't even an option for me as then the game is just unplayable.

Thx for interest and replies.

Russia, East coast and the whilst one of the Garena data centers is only a stones throw away, I'd rather suffer the latency and play the global realm.

Just try to type "Singapore" in the server list ( manual input ) then, you might see significant improvment I guess :) ( global realm ).

Unfortunately, unless GGG have a complete about face, people like you and I will be left to make the best or what we're given. Europe is also best for me, typically Frankfurt.

Geographically, Singapore is closer than the European servers (Tokyo would be even closer but PoE is not hosted on the Softlayer DC there) but routing wise it's a nightmare. Basically, from here, all routes to South Asia go via Europe, so the average latency to Singapore is around 500ms

Ahh sucks :S
Im living in Sapporo, I would love a gateway in Tokyo, so Singapore gave me significant improvment, thought that it could be the same for you, sorry man.

I did my 40/40 Izaro kills on PHC with predictive... after the trials i was sure that i will die on desync/traps.. but actually it was not that bad.. just need to be extra careful on the tight spots.

Desyncing, fully puffed Izaro is a thing, for sure xD

+his teleporting ability led into some hilarius situation where my character was teleported into a corner and then resyncked back and because i thinkn that i was actually teleported, i started running into the wrong direction and usually into more traps.

It was like playing Flicker on LSD
d:-D*
