What's the best way to farm for Orbs?

I've always asked myself this question so I address it to the experts here ::- ).

Do I need to have lots of items with "Quantity of items found +%" ?

What areas are best?

Should I only start doing it on Merciless difficulty or does it work fine in Cruel?

I need TONS of Orbs of Fusing :D, so please consider this when answering (thus, I'm interested in good drops of Jeweler Orbs as well).

any mob can drop any item in the game, there is no specific place to farm for certain drops..

get some qnty gear, and kill shit
Things with "increased" and "decreased" in the tooltip are additive ... where as "More" or "Less" are multiplicative ...
Quantity does not effect currency, get quantity/rarity farm golds/uniques sell for alchs/chaos and trade for them. Its going to be a LOT faster than trying to find orbs yourself.
Item quantity and rarity don't affect orb drops, only gear.

If you want to have the best chance of getting orb drops from monsters, farm an area within 2 levels of your character. Every level outside of that is -2.5% quantity of orb drops.

Though if you have a specific orb in mind, find out the vendor recipe for that - it can make it a lot faster to farm them.
The only problem is that I find it cumbersome to sell for alchs/chaos due to the fact that there is no good trading system in place other than spamming the Forum or the chat.

In this case, grab a LOT of IIQ and farm the Ledge. Pick up every blue and yellow, ident it and sell it for Alt-shards. Then trade your Alts at 2:1 to Jewelers and your Jewelers at 4:1 to Fusings at Clarissa in Act3. Most reliable way to get masses of fusings... do I really need to tell this? Thought everyone figured this out already...

Well after reviewing wiki it does not say it doesnt effect it anymore, but im about 90% sure it does not effect currency drops. could be wrong though..
Yes, I already figured that out already. I was now looking for better methods, things I didn't think of yet. So far, the only thing new I found is that IIQ doesn't increase chance of dropping currency. Yes, it increases number of items, but that only indirectly affects currency (since more items drop, more currency can drop).

IIQ affects the currency drop rates as it counts as an item. If you are not sure about your knowledge please don't share it in the first place.
