When Chris says that lab haters are a minority, how right is he?

They will always find a way to say it's biased

It's their only defense against the truth

We'll say it's biased because it is. Deal with it or do a scientifically valid poll.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Quit saying "scientific" until you know what that means.
I still find the defenses people keep using in this thread very strange.

A poll on the forum shows that a significant number of the people taking it (and a lot of people took it) dislike the lab. Okay, sure. But you know all the people who don't visit or post on the forum? They love the lab! I mean, we didn't ask them or anything, but we just know they totally love it.

The people who visit the forum and the subreddit have opinions that don't represent those of most POE players at all. In fact, their opinions are literally the opposite of most POE players. Again, we didn't ask that mystery group of POE players who don't visit the forum for their opinions, but we're sure what we're saying is totally true.

It's a clear case of fabricating numbers. They have literally nothing to support this claim, yet it's made time and time again in this thread.

I have nothing against the lab. I'm not delusional enough to argue against observable reality, though. All signs point to a large portion of POE players disliking the lab. Why deny this? What do you actually have to gain from vehemently denying reality?

There are a lot of pages, it can take some time to read all posts, but you just ignored everything right ?

People are still making these same mistakes on page 40. It seems reasonable to try to help people who still don't understand why this reasoning is flawed figure it out.

Edit: Ah, I checked your post history and you're one of those people. I guess I couldn't help you. :)

ORLY ?

Can you elaborate what's a LARGE portion of players ? And while you're at it, tell us more about the average forum poster / reddit user opinion tendencies regarding in game content.

I'm sorry. I actually interacted with you earlier in the thread and had similar responses from you. I decided it was much better for everyone if I simply stopped interacting with you forever. I'll try to remember your name in the future so I don't make this same mistake again.

Have a nice day. :)

Vocal minority vs silent majority.

The fact that you guys think GGG doesnt have numbers is quite hilarious. Everytime this poll gets linked i just laugh because its such an insignificant number but people are trying to treat it as if its a representation of every player to ever play Path of Exile.

Edit - Also how many polls for the same thing does that make it now ? Like 30 and none of them ever reach a significant number regardless of constantly spamming it in every thread both here on reddit ? That in of itself is the proof you need as to how insignificant these polls are.

Never heard of a 'sample size'?

I for one would be interested in knowing how Chris is differentiating between 'people who like' the lab runs versus 'people who begrudgingly run them for the right enchants'? I detest the trials and labs (particularly having to re-run them over with new characters), but I still ran them quite a few number of times for a good enchant on a few helms.
Still in the alpha stage, but at least build diversity isn't an issue: https://wolcengame.com/home/
I dislike the lab due to there always being a huge risk of being disconnected when using a darkshrine or loading up izaro in the final phase as the game tries to load something, stalls, and causes a disconnect. In turn, I'd have to start the entire labyrinth over again, which was annoying.

I only played about a month of Perandus, and since there has been some performance fixes as well as ram/preloading fixes so maybe it wont be bad anymore when I try Prophecy.

It's pretty much collecting views on abortion among the members of Operation Rescue. Size is irrelevant if you don't have a good sample, which we unfortunately can't obtain. Devs would have a better shot at it but I have no idea why would they bother, it's much easier to wait for the complaints to reach critical mass, if they ever do.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
