Pyre ring "destroying enemies" explosion do aoe damage?
subj
i'm reading that its like infernal blow corps explosion? but does it do same aoe damage when err blown? not just animation? i cant find discription of this "Ignited enemies you hit are destroyed on Kill" im running this ring right now, and it feels like when pack of mobs are ignited and began to (chain?)explode they are "destroying" much more faster then w/o ignition and explosions Last edited by old_joe#4503 on Apr 6, 2016, 5:16:24 AM Last bumped on Apr 6, 2016, 7:08:11 AM

I was playing with Pyre quite a bit and am pretty sure explosion doesn't do any damage. That's why there's no "deal % of life as damage" in item description.
It should be quite easy to check with burning arrow. |

'Destroyed on kill' means that their corpses are destroyed. Normally this only happens when you kill a frozen enemy. It does no damage, it just means they don't leave corpses.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

oh well
maybe i can abuse this corpse destroy thing with Cast on Death somehow? idk i cant figure out it feels like some usefull DPS should be pulled out of this gore fest :) |

" It won't work with Cast on Death in any combination. Being able to destroy corpses (or not) has its advantages and disadvantages. For one, some active skills needs corpses (Offerings, Detonate Dead, Summons, Devouring Totem), but they sometimes can be dangerous too - some enemies are using Detonate Dead (other thing being Necromancers animating skeletons) themselves, meaning that if you do not use corpses yourself in any manner, it is best to destroy them, to avoid danger.
