Victario's Charity + Harmony of Purpose

Victario's Charity (Unique Shield) gives:

10% chance to grant a Power Charge to nearby Allies on Kill
5% chance to grant a Frenzy Charge to nearby Allies on Hit

Harmony of Purpose (Guardian Ascendancy passive) gives:

Nearby Party members share Charges

Does anyone know how these two interact? Do you get charges if you generate them for your allies with Vicatiro's Charity and they share charges?

I believe, I read in a Bug forum, that Harmony of Purpose doesn't grant charges to the Guardian himself. Which is supposed to be by design, but they're looking if it can be changed to grant him charges as well.

This is true, I read that as well. I don't think it should be changed.

This thread is about whether the Guardian's Party members will give the guardian charges when they get them from the Guardian's Victario's Charity.

Oh ok, I don't see why they would though, the mechanic still doesn't include guardian himself, how does Victario's Charity change that?

Guardian's Victario's Charity procs and grants a power charge to his Party member.
That party member shares charges, so when she gets a charge the guardian does too.

No, guardian isn't a party member, it's a minion.

'Ally' is the broadest term which includes party members, minions and temps like converted monsters or rampage animated weapons.

Oops, I fucked up, misinterpreted the mentioned bug forum post (it's also in feedback, not in bug forum). He probably will get a power charge.

@raics The "guardian" is the templar ascendancy in this case, not animated guardian :).

Honestly, if I did this interaction I'd leave it as it is. If they fixed it, that would remind too much of those annoying people that can't just accept a gift and say thank you.
