GhazzyTV - THE Spectre Summoner [LOW & HIGH BUDGET VERSIONS]
IMPORTANT NOTE:
All my guides have moved to poe-vault.com to make sure I can have a much better quality of my guides! I will be answering ALL questions on that forum thread and keep all guides on icy-veins website (poe-vault.com) updated consistently every league as per usual. All my build guides as well as other written guides can be found here: https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/ghazzy-guide-hub This thread will no longer be updated but will leave it as it was when I did this move for the sake of nostalgia <3 __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ BIG UPDATE ON THIS GUIDE! Redemption Sentries are still fine to use, however the Slave Drivers can in many cases feel more efficient. On the other hand, based of this video: https://youtu.be/OnQvj6iKvKw I will be updating the guide to reflect the usage of these spectres. This means using Slave Drivers til you get access to them which are found in Betrayal encounters, that's sometimes in encounters in maps and in all safe-houses (random spawn). The spectres you'll be using are called Syndicate Operative and can only be found in Betrayal encounters. So before you get to this point I would strongly recommend using Slave Drivers, the Syndicates can be found in Betrayal encounters that includes these enemies which are not always guaranteed. High Budget Guide: https://youtu.be/ReRmec_6Cd0 (Do note that the PoB is designed for Redemption Sentries here) Animate Guardian Guide: https://youtu.be/JRK5AFbhd2M Path of Building Link for the guide: https://pastebin.com/KP8kSnvN Simply go to "Import/Export Build" > Click the "Import from Pastebin" paste the link in there, and then click "Import" If you have any questions you can always come to my twitch stream to get them answered or just to enjoy the stream: Ghazzy's Livestreaming Channel __________________________________________________________________________ Is this build for you? 1. If you are looking for an amazing Necromancer build, that is not SRS, Zombies or AW. 2. A build that is not only viable in both hardcore & sofcore, but also Awakener. 3. Insanely high eHP with really good clearing speed that is NOT SRS or AW. 4. If you prefer a build guide that has a video linked to it. __________________________________________________________________________ Defence & Utility The build is going pure life which allows for life flask usage as well as having a 6L set-up for Utility minions that will taunt & blind enemies to keep you safe. __________________________________________________________________________ Pantheon Choices: Pantheon List Major God: - Soul of Lunaris Basically just helps with avoiding some projectile damage Minor God: - Soul of Ryslatha Basically just an additional layer of defence when you're on low life. __________________________________________________________________________ Skill-gems & Setups: Spectres: - Raise Spectre,, Spell Echo, Predator, Greater Multiple Projectiles, Vicious Projectiles, Elemental Damage with Attacks Note: For single target end-game bosses you should not be removing the GMP support as they are shotgunning (this will most likely be patched after this league). Do keep in mind that if they are in melee range of enemies they will start auto attacking so positioning is key, don't convocate them right on top of a boss, let them have some social distancing. For smoother clearing you can always opt in to using Feeding Frenzy over Predator and switch those 2 for clearing. This drastically helps clear efficiency. The transition to move this build from low budget to high budget is to start with getting a Shaper/Elder influenced helmet that requires some very specific crafting. So for the low budget approach we simply use a 6L chest piece. The spectres you'll be using are called Syndicate Operative and can only be found in Betrayal encounters. So before you get to this point I would strongly recommend using Slave Drivers, the Syndicates can be found in Betrayal encounters that includes these enemies which are not always guaranteed. [41] The Control Blocks (Act 5) Mobility & Utility TRIAD GRIP: - Dash, Second Wind, Vaal Haste, Phase Run Note: We are using 4 green for optimal damage output with cold conversion in the Triad Grip gloves! Curse on Hit: - Storm Brand, Hextouch, Frostbite, Note: You can skip the Hextouch entirely and use Sniper's Mark as it doesn't get any curse effect reduction vs bosses and is simply brutally good for bosses and you don't need to curse non-boss targets. Auras: - Summon Skitterbots, Bonechill - Hatred, Generosity Note: If you don't have Hatred reservation reduction enchant on your helmet you can simply drop the Bonechill support. This is of course if you're using the Aspect of the Spider which is not mandatory but very useful for the high budget version. Trigger: - Flesh Offering, Desecrate, Frost Bomb Note: This also helps you proc Fire for Elemental Equilibrium in combination with Avatar of Fire which makes your Frost Bomb still apply the extra -25% cold resistance Utility Minions: - Carrion Golem, Animate Guardian, Meat Shield, Feeding Frenzy Note: You can split these up by having an item be 2L2L giving meat shield to your Animate Guardian whilst making sure the Carrion Golem is aggressive and provides the army with the Feeding Frenzy buff. Convocation: - Convocation Note: This is placed in an Unset ring to help us with socket starvation as we are using 4 green sockets inside our gloves. __________________________________________________________________________ Blighted Oils Since we don't use our skill-points to reach Death Attunement that becomes the only viable node to Oil for this build and it requires the following oils: Clear Oil, Crimson Oil & a Silver Oil. __________________________________________________________________________ Skill-tree & Ascendancy Nodes: Ascendancy Nodes: You start with Mistress of Sacrifice, then you grab Mindless Agression to get to Unnatural Strength. Once these are done you can either go with Commander of Darkness, Essence Glutton or Bone Barrier. It's up to you! Note that if you don't take Commander of Darkness you don't need the Clarity lvl 1 to give your minions another "stack" of the buff granted by the ascendancy node. Leveling skill-tree, 33 points Leveling skill-tree, 73 points Finished skill-tree Notes: * Use Slave Drivers till you get access to the Syndicate Operative, I would strongly recommend using Spell Echo as a support for them, as they are spell casters and not attacking minions. __________________________________________________________________________ Leveling Tips: Arc or Ball Lightning linked with Blastchain Mines are incredibly strong for leveling all the way to 65-70 upon which you can easily and smooth transition to the actual summoner build. You can level as a summoner if you wish but it will be a bit slower than the above mentioned tip. Prior to level 28 where you can go Ball Lightning miner you'd be best of to spec in to a bit of extra spell/ele dmg as well as lightning damage nodes that you should respec out of when you switch to summoner. The best leveling abilities would be Stormblast Mines in combination of Frost Bomb & Orb of Storms and utilize that till you get to 28 for smooth sailing Ball Lightning. Bandits: - Kill them all, they provide us with nothing of value. __________________________________________________________________________ Gearing & Stat Priorities What base items to use: The base items of this build really doesn't matter as we don't care about the base defensive stats such as armour(str), evasion(dex) or energy shield(int). So instead the base items will follow the stat priority listed in this guide. However, the attribute requirement of the items will base how hard it is to chrome (color) which will be the only thing we will think about when planing our gearing. So, if you need 4 blue sockets in an item the recommendation is to get an item that has Energy Shield (int) base or a hybrid base which includes Energy Shield (int). By using this chrome calculating website: https://siveran.github.io/calc.html you can easily track how hard it will be to chrome the colors you need. This YouTube playlist can help a lot for new players and also includes a few tricks when coloring items with the "wrong attribute requirements" for your build: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuu-MdPs0Af8A4e3gSsJ1xDKNNcdFwY1r Unique Shield to use with Necromantic Aegis is there beloved: Victario's Charity Defensive Stats: 1. Life 2. Resistances 3. Strength 4. Minion Life Offensive Stats: 1. Minion Damage Jewels: Unique: You would use 1x Unending Hunger Jewels for increased splash effect & Soul Eater for your spectres :) this is to be placed in the jewel slot located north of the Witch start area zone. 1. Minion Damage 2. Increased Max Life 3. Resistances 4. Minion Life Flasks: 2x Seething Divine Life Flasks <w/e sufix> 1x Ample Eternal Life Flask of Staunching 1x Ample Granite Flask of Staunching 1x Ample Quicksilver Flask of Heat __________________________________________________________________________ Recommended Unique Items:

NOTICE: I've reached a point where I have too many build guides to keep up with responding personally on each comment as I've always done on my threads in the past. I will obviously continue doing this but on the youtube videos instead. I hope you guys will understand, sadly I'm not a fulltime streamer and for me to keep build guides like this posted this was an inevitable result! Have you done Atziri/uber atziri with it in hardcore? Since you're claiming it's viable for it.
|
|
" Atziri, yes. Uber, not yet. I am explaining the reason behind this in my video guide and as soon as the bug is fixed I will go ahead and make a detailed guide for how to execute the map and each of the boss fights. I've killed Atziri/Uber Atziri well over 6500 times as a summoner. The theoritcal damage output is far higher than that of my current classic summoner that can and have killed Uber Atziri (in current patch and prior to Ascendancy). On top of having far higher defensive possibilities. On top of this, there is a good chance that spectres will have a higher eHP than that of a Chaos Golem in that map which will make it even easier to do. I am however expecting a nerf to this damage once they fix the bug. Guides: https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/ghazzy-guide-hub

Hey man, love your guide/build. Having a blast playing it right now. Had a few questions. What are your thoughts on not running zealots oath? Having around 150 life regen is really helpful in not having to use flasks for any small little hit that happens. And I feel like the es regens to full inbetween packs/not casting spells enough that es regen is not needed. Granted I have not done mid-high level maps so maybe I could be wrong. Second question, what are your thoughts on using stygian revenants and replacing ball lightning with something like firestorm for eq? Or do you think flame sentitels are just better clear speed overall?
|
|
" Hey bro! Glad you like it! :D Removing Zealot's Oath would ruin the whole idea of using MoM/EB as it guarantees your eHP gain from those keystones. If you're taking consistent damage such as DoT's or mere hits you won't regen your ES and will therefor loose valuable eHP and could honestly might as well have been a "normal" hybrid character using ES & Life as your eHP. The regen simply guarantees the eHP to be there for you at all times. Spectres is a very complex topic and here is the answer to all your questions about which one to use:
Big Wall of Text
Now that we have been provided with support gems such as Elemental Focus as well as Controlled Destruction we have the possibility of using 6 extremely high damage providing modifying gems. This means that Flame Sentinels who doesn't require any Projectile modifying support gems and that also has the most aggressive AI making them consistently attack the enemies. This makes them the most superior spectre to use for pure damage output.
Stygian Revenants requires a projectile modifying support gem to be viable for mapclearing and with that as well as their slightly less aggressive AI compared to the superior Flame Sentinels makes the Stygian Revenants inferior for pure damage output. However, they are perfect to utilize for shocking with these support gems: Raise Spectre + Spell Echo + Chain + Innervate (If more sockets add: GMP & Increased Duration for higher duration shocks). Now with the Soul Weaver ascendancy node giving spectres such insane damage one shall not ignore the possibility of using the 100% piercing big fat asses in Dried Lake known as "Knitted Horrors" these guys are doing pure physical damage and does the most damage of all spectres available atm. However, their AI is even worse than that of the Stygian Revenants. The important part here is to look past their bleed which is insignificant but instead focus on the fact that they do 100% physical damage and have such high projectile speed that they can shoot roughly 1.5 - 2 screens away. So using proper support gems as well as Hatred Aura they can pretty much one shot most content 1.5 - 2 screens away in open world maps. This makes them inferior for higher tier maps that are not in an open world, as well as in maps where the enemies does not get killed instantly. Though, with a ton of spectres they can still be very viable. Main problem remains in their horrible AI making them in the end inferior to that of Flame Sentinels. Hope it helped!
