Pierce and On-Hit Effects

Hello PoE people!
I couldn't find this information for the life of me, and I think I have the right idea but figured a dev or experience mechanic player would know :].

From the wiki http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Projectile#Pierce it would seem that the game calculates in this order:
Hit Check
On-Hit Effects
Pierce Check

However it's not really clear, and on a spell like Spark it's really hard to see what's going down. So my question is do On-Hit effects happen before or after the Pierce Check is done?

The main reason I'm asking is to see if Projectile Weakness (50% Pierce upon curse) + Curse on Hit + Pierce (50%) would equal to 100% pierce consistently. The idea being Spark hits the enemy, applies the curse on said hit (unless curse immune or resistant), now pierce should be at 100% theoretically, and the Spark should continue on.

Thank you for your time!

Anyone have insight?
Haven't tested it, but I'm quite sure it won't get 100% pierce in the first hit.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.
