Stashview

I decided to take the plunge and code something for myself that works for my needs using the public stash tab API. Perhaps others might find it useful so I'm publishing the tool here.

I have the setup you see here (game on the left, tall portrait monitor of stuff on the right):



With a bright interface on the right while I'm playing the game, it's staining on the eyes. I wanted to solve for this with a custom - darker - interface, as well as identify and traverse items quickly without having to read copious amount of text and stats. The idea was to use color where it is possible to quickly identify most traits of an item and remove the crazy contrast between other game-related stuff on the other monitor. While I want all of the item's information available, I didn't want it immediately there overwhelming the results.

I started coding this on and off a few days ago so this is (a) still early work in progress, (b) not nearly as robust - or intended to be as robust - as other solutions like exiletools or POE Trade. My view allows me to traverse through the latest item activity quickly, and potentially see new stuff I haven't seen before (like a new unique or something).

So without further ado, here is my live stash monitor:

Future features (by priority):

• fill in missing blanks - like map tiers
• proper whisper/msg formatting
• clean up more data strings as I see them in the results

I like the idea of this, it looks very clean. It will be really nice to see filters and sorting added along with sockets. Good work!

Thanks! I'm going to resume work next week after I get back from visiting family. I've thought of also adding timed scrolling of the results over a comfortable interval of some sort when you are not focused on the page - so you don't even have to stop playing to scroll the browser. It's a really simple feature that will probably go a long way.

Cool UI. I've been waiting for somebody to make a tool like this; as in directly listen to the river. Adding a filter to unique items and price (in chaos equiv) should be useful. After that, add more filters.

Thanks. Yeah filtering on the type won't be an issue, but filtering on the price I know is going to get tricky (price is set sometimes at the stash level and sometimes at the item level - and sometimes the price at the item level is not precisely formatted so there is def some work there). But I'll see what I can do. Right now I'd like to add a keyword search so that if you punch in something like "tabula" each refresh will look for that item and clear out all the other results except the on you're looking for.
