Cheap Flicker Strike Build - Oro's - 20k defense - 5 jewels
It's an easy build to make in non-seasonal leagues. It uses almost entirely cheapo uniques. Those uniques often give resistances so it's fairly easy to resistance cap too. What's neat about this build is even though flicker strike might move on to an enemy that isn't dead yet, the burning damage is likely to kill them.
The main focus of the build is this weapon: Notice the last line: ![]() That's on hit. Which is very important. If we manage to get 100% ignite chance that means every hit will give us a frenzy charge. Therefore, we can flicker strike single targets (i.e. bosses) without needing to use an alternate attack. It's also nice that we don't need to use bloodlust because we don't benefit from the physical damage life leech because we can't do physical damage. Our goal is to get this: ![]() The big downside is we have to do entirely elemental damage. That's not too difficult. Just make sure your gear has weapon elemental damage instead of physical. Our passive tree can be abused with this jewel Which is awesome. We'll put that jewel here for maximum value.

![]() To stay in theme with always igniting we'll be using resolute technique. It's definitely not required, and crit flicker strike builds are generally stronger. But this is a cheap-and-easy build, I'd recommend picking it up anyways. ![]() Here's the passive tree. It's just as easy to use this build on templar and duelist. I opted for mana-leech instead of using blood magic. Using blood magic takes up a gem slot, and I felt investing 4 points into Spirit Void on the passive tree was well worth an additional support gem on flicker strike. As for the jewels: Look for: % increased attack speed on swords % increased fire damage % increased damage % increased max life % increased damage over time resistances It's perfectly fine to use 1 Fireborn and 4 Izaro's Turmoil. Our flicker strike set up should look like this: (order of important from left-to-right) Here's the 3 boots/head/gloves link set-up I have that's working for me. If you're running Alpha's Howl consider adding in I'm not running Warlord's Mark. This chest piece will get us all endurance charges instead. I found myself not caring about endurance charges with the rediculous amount of armor stacking as immortal call doesn't help with spells. However. If you decide to use Warlord's Mark (or if you feel like you have enough armor as-is) and you want a better chest piece consider using: Other uniques: I like devoto's devotion because of the +50 dex we're going to need for flicker strike. We also don't care about 10% reduced physical damage because don't do physical. The gloves can be anything really, but I found surgebinders to add the most damage. With 5 frenzy charges that +35% increased ele damage. Fire version of doryani's invitation is really nice for the fire-leech, fire damage, ignite increase, armor. It's awesome and cheap, definitely pick one up. Gang's momentum is good if you're still not at 100% ignite. The +15% damage bonus is good against bosses too. Jewelry: What to look for: Cap resistances Add dex/int Weapon elemental damage Added fire damage Life You're going to need some decent resistance jeweler to cap your resistances. The passive tree does give 48% resistances and some of the uniques also give resistances. How I went about it, is I got all the uniques together and finished my passive tree. Then used the jewelery to finish getting to 135%. Because we're also using Iron Reflexes I like to bring both a Granite and Jade flask to double-dip. Rumi's isn't required at all, any granite flask will do. I happened to have one. With both the jade and granite flask popped and some decent armor you can get pretty high up there.. (in this case I traited a bit more heavily into % armor in the passive, but you get the idea) Here's some overkill armor. Normally though you should be around 20k armor.

![]() And that's about it. With this build I didn't have any trouble with tier 11 and below maps. Hope everyone has fun with this one and I'll see you in Wraeclast Last edited by FoldedCorner#2171 on Mar 3, 2016, 12:20:28 AM Last bumped on Mar 4, 2016, 7:10:50 PM
