Ranger Ascendancy Build List



This is an alternative to the normal Ranger build list, which will include the strongest builds of all skills which were tested in mid to high end maps and video prove. They will be sorted by Ascendancy class and skill.

I took the path of crit . Iron reflexes, Grace aura, Acrobatics,Phase Acrobatics, 7 natural Frenzy charges (no extra from gear)

I'm rocking 40% dodge, 30% spell dodge and 5k armor for a little mitigation. I use a legacy Blood Dance boot as the real only build enabling unique. 1% regen per charge gets me up to about 500 life regen per sec with all charges up and with a mid roll on the 20-30% boot roll. , the charges stay up reliably.
(Why did they nerf this unique into the dirt?) The tradeoff was the boot has no real stats like life or resists. Anyways, getting off topic..

So, Deadeye, offers if I go strait left and up 4 points 20 att speed +50 proj damage and one chain which is pretty impressive.
Furthermore, one point allocated after those 4 are filled out gives crit increase equal to pierce chance on one node on the bottom.


Now the thing is.. I am a frenzy tornado shot ranger.

The Raider offers (going the path of frenzy down-left and up.... some evasion rating which boosts phys mitigation a little..(big deal) 36% frenzy charge duration.. ok whatever.. then finally gets interesting.. at Avatar of the Slaughter. 2 increased movement per charge, 3 IAS per and also 3% increased att damage per charge and finally +1 to max frenzy charges. This works out to 8 natural charges. 3+3 from tree +1 from bandit +1 from Ascendency tree .. so 8. Well.. thats 16 movement speed, 24% increased att speed and 24% increased damage just on that one node..+10 att speed along the way. Thing is with blood dance.. this is also 1% more life regen in my case.


What to do.. hmm... I really like Deadeye the most but how can I not go for another frenzy charge?

Deadeye.. 20 IAS, 50% IPD, Chain, crit = to pierce investment (5 points)
Raider.. 34 IAS, 24% damage boost, 1 frenzy charge (4 points)

You should make a forum post, people can help you to choose and you can be included in the Theory Craft section.
For me its about how you want to play,I wouldnt go chain + crit since it doesnt play well together. For me id rather go for Sharp and Venomous or Raider, yet you have to take into accoutnt that with Raider you have to link chain which will result in less damage maybe, since instead of chain you can use another dmg boosting support with deadeye.
