Disabling certain particle/sound effects - legal?
|
On my quest to optimize PoEs' performance I've come across a guide on how to disable certain particle effects that are connected with performance issues using VisualGGPK.
Since this can be seen as cheating to gain an advantage compared to other players I wanted to get clarification on GGGs view on this. I can see that disabling cosmetics would be a problem, due to the fact that those effects generate cash for GGG, but these items don't impact the performance that much, so that's not the issue here. I'm talking about: Rain particles Discharge Herald of Ice Discharge Sound effects of Spectres/Golems/Zombies etc. Ground effects like burning ground/poison/shocked ground/frozen ground etc. Did I mention Discharge? Which one of those would be legal to disable in order to get an increase in fps? Or is any tempering considered illegal and thus banable? Best regards, Karkesh |
