Doedre's Scorn + Essence Drain's DoT
|
My Doedre's Scorn says "Increased 20% Damage per Curse on Enemy". However, this damage buff doesn't seem to apply to Essence Drain's DoT. Casting Enfeeble, Temporal Chains and Flammability on enemy doesn't seem to change the degen rate at all, unlike casting Vulnerability curse. Is it a bug or just intended to be so?

Doedre's Scorn grants Increased Damage to you, as such it's additive with all your Increased Damage.
Vulnerability grants the enemy Increased Damage Taken, which is part of the defender-side calculation and thus effectively multiplicative with your modifiers. Working as intended. |

" The thing is that 60% increased damage buff is absolutely unnoticable, given that I have around 150% increased damage in total from the tree and gear. I tested that in merc aqueduct on chaos res mobs with ED linked to no support gems. 60% increased damage makes it from 250% to 310% total damage, around extra 25% more damage. However, manually casting 3 curses (no Vulnerability) on mobs visually doesn't change the degen rate at all, while 33% more DoT taken from Vulnerability alone can be easily observed. Does it mean that "Increased Damage" doesn't affect Damage over Time? |

The most reliable way to test this is by running trials on a fixed enemy, I usually pester Hillock about this. Time a kill without any Curses, and a run with Curses that don't affect your Damage output. Best way to be sure it works.
