Sell gems ?

Hi there,

My vaults are full of gems and i was wondering if i could sell all these "buyable" non-quality level 1 gems to the vendor, or if there was an interest in keeping them ?

I have multiple classes and can potentially buy them at npc's when required.

Any advice ? Thanks a lot !

Selling them to the vendor is a lot of work for very little pay-off. 5 gems to get 1 scroll of wisdom, I'll leave it up to you if it's worth it to vend or destroy them. :)

Since your account is fairly old, just watch which ones you get rid of in the off chance you have any Increased Item Quantity gems. They are legacy and are fairly valuable.

Cleared my standard stashes this weekend and had about 4 or so tabs full of lvl 1 gems. I found it quicker to sell them to the vendor rather than try to drop them, confirm I wanted to delete them, the repeat ad nauseum. Plus the scrolls are great for my MF character who always burns through them.

There's no point in keeping gems now except for the few drop only ones, Superior gems either for leveling or for GCP recipe, or already high level gems (15 plus). Everything else you can buy from vendors already leveled.

Easiest way is to type "/destroy" and then click on item you want to destroy and hit enter up arrow and enter again. You can see it in action in this epic rage quit video @ around the 2 minute mark.

This still doesn't seem significantly more efficient than control-clicking all of them into your inventory, and then control-clicking them into the trade window.

May not be more efficient but it's much quicker. At least you only have to click them once. :)

beware of some gems that you may want to have at level 1 ready for a new build, or even to keep using at base or low level -> trigger related gems, clarity etc may not work 'as intended' if you buy them at level 10 or so... ^^

I was going to suggest the same thing:
Consider holding onto a few level 1 CWDT gems, and anything else that you might wish to use with them.
