How much life regen do you need to stop Blood Rage depleting life?
Hi there
Just wondered about this, as on my 90 reaver uses it and loses energy shield but no life, and wondered what the min %life regen you need to stop Blood Rage eating into your life. Many thanks - Turnip |

Just what the gem says. Figure out how much damage it does per second and regen that much. Your problem is that you have both Es and Life and you must choose which to regen.

You lose 4% life and 4% ES per second. Your ES doesn't replenish unless you have Zealot's Oath so it will always stay empty. For life regen, if you have 4% you'll be good. I don't think armor reduces the damage taken since it's a degen and not a hit. I know on my PA ranger I lose the 0.4% of hp with 3.6% regen and 8k armor. Not sure if Endurance charges would reduce the damage taken.
edit: I always get Ghost Reaver and Zealot's Oath mixed. Last edited by Namcap#6810 on Nov 19, 2015, 12:33:58 PM

"If he's got life and ES, 4% life regen is not enough. He'd need more life regen to offset the damage from the 4% ES degen. Guild Leader The Amazon Basin <BASIN>

" Yeah that's just poor choice of word/structure on my part. In my head it's clear but I don't explain well. If you only have life and no ES, 4% is good enough. |

ty for the answers - lvl 61 5600 dps
44% dmg reduction - if I m aiming for 50-60 dmg reduction how can I work out how much life regen? - if dmg reduction helps with the life loss of blood rage? TYVM Turnip |

Armour won't mitigate the bloodrage. Just direct damage reduction like Leo's Reduced damage over time mod or the node that gives 4% reduction. Armour needs a hit to mitigate.

Armour and Fort do not apply, because they only work against Hits. However, Endurance Charges, the Chaos Golem bonus and the Soul of Steel Passive will work.
Simply multiply the 4% degen by whatever reduction you have to figure out how much you need. With three ECharges for example, you'd need 4 * 0.88 = 3.52% Regen. |

OK tyvm - I'll just add regen nodes until I balance the lifeloss out
