Temporal Chains, and Poison

Temporal Chains increases all other effects by 40%, and poison is 10% of the initial hit every second for 2 seconds. That being said Temporal Chains would increase poison to last 2.8 seconds, would it increase the damage of poison considering it didn't go up to 3.0 seconds?

Does not increase the poison damage, only makes the enemies to be poisoned for longer.
Bethesda is known for having good ideas and terrible realization of them. GGG is a Bethesda subsidiary or what?
I understand that it does not directly increase the damage, but does the increasing the duration by .8 have any meaningful impact. Is poison calculated that by 1 sec, 10% of the hit is done (1% damage every 100 milliseconds), or is it at 1 sec 10% of the hit is dealt.

damage over time in PoE is constant degen effect, it doesn't 'tick'.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Poison by default deals 10% of Hit Damage over 2 seconds, which means the Damage output equals 5% of Hit Damage per Second. If it lasts longer, it deals the same amount of DPS for a longer time, dealing more total Damage.
