powercharge on critical hit not working correctly

For a few days now this has not been working correctly, maybe there's been a update or something that messed it up unintentionally.
The case is this; I'm using frostblades with cast on crit, cold snap and powercharge on crit as supports. I've been using it for some time now without any problems, but a few days ago it started to mess up. The powercharges sometimes dissaper instead of adding another charge, its not happening from the same amount all the time, sometimes i get just 1, other times i have 3 before it dissaper and so on. Other times it also has the icon with the timer, but a 0 on the number of charges

Did you read the part on your cold snap gem that tells you how it can bypass the cooldown?

"Power Charge on Critical Strike", if your Frost Blades attack is a Critical Strike, each projectile will be a critical hit. If you have multistrike, all 3 attacks will be a critical hit. If you manage to hit at least one target with your Critical Strike, you get 1 power charge. You do not get more charges for each enemy you do a critical hit on. This is unique to Voll's Protector only, the Power Charge on Critical Strike gem works differently.

Then Cold Snap can be a Critical Strike as well, if it does, then you are granted another Power Charge if it hits at least one enemy. If it is on cooldown, like mark said, it will also consume a Power Charge.

Meaning your setup is shit, unless you would use Voll's Protector, or just use something other than Cold Snap, which already sounds bad as is with Frost Blades.

I had missed that part on coldsnap and since i only noticed it a few days ago i thought it might have happened in a new patch.

Maybe the build it shit compared to others, but wanted to try something new..
