Blood Rage, Frenzy charges and Snakebites
Hi there
On my other thread someone suggested Blood Rage to boost dps which I LOVE. IIt gives me 2-3k dps Question is, what are the best supports for it - atm I have faster casting and reduced mana, as mana has become an issue for me Since using this skill. Also I happen to have snakebite mits. 2% Ias per frenzy charge. 6% accuracy rating But 10% reduced frenzy charge duration per charge. Max charges poisons enemies. Is is worth synergising this item with blood rage, and should I grab some frenzy charge nodes on the tree. Or is the reduced charge duration crap? Any advice on maxing frenzy charge potential would be great - I know very little about frenzy charges. Also im having real mana problems using blood rage even with supported reduced mana. If you're using blood rage you should get frenzy charge nodes on your tree regardless. 5-6 frenzy charges with a build using blood rage is pretty standard unless you're discharging.
Snakebite gloves are decent as long as you're killing packs fast enough that your charges don't fall off. There are also other options out there and you don't necessarily need to get stuff that synergizes directly with your charges because frenzy charges are just damn useful no matter what. As long as you're good on resistances and max life snakebites can be a strong option, it's really up to you. I'd give em a try. If you're scaling crit then maligaro's virtuosity are probably a better choice, but theres nothing wrong with a high life + resist set of rare gloves with some attack speed or chaos resistance on them if you need it. I personally wouldn't bother with snakebites, if you run a right side build that can get a lot of frenzy charges that usually means you already got a ton of attack speed and accuracy so you won't really feel the benefit from snakebites.
If you want to use them for the flavor, consider getting the restless ward. Hell, if you use that you could put on darkray vectors too and still have good duration on your frenzy charges. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

thanks for the replies - I currently have no frenzy charge nodes lol as I started the build as a pure 5l reaver. But now I might make some changes to the tree to add frenzy charges, as I've gone for pure dmg.
Blood rage is awesome and gives me 4k more dps 20000dps buffed with it. So things are dying. Should I reduce some dmg nodes and get a few frenzy charge nodes? Tyvm Think I'll leave the snakebites as I have good chaos resist on gloves. Turnip Last edited by Turniphead2#0411 on Sep 17, 2015, 3:57:30 PM

" Assuming you're talking about your duel wield duelist with reave, I looked at your tree and your best bet is to just put your next 2 points into the frenzy charge that you're already next to (towards the bottom by golems blood). Other than that it isnt really worth stretching for more. I'd recommend picking up the frenzy charge point from your merciless bandit quest for sure though, that will get you up to 5 max charges which is a solid improvement. You can switch your current merciless bandit choice to kraiton by selling 20 regret orbs and a jade amulet to a vendor in merciless difficulty if you're willing to spend the currency. if you arent then 4 frenzy charges is fine for awhile but i'd definitely recommend getting the 5th eventually when its more affordable to you. One day if you get rich you can also buy a good amulet with a vaal implicit of +1 max frenzy charges :) Every Saturday = National Booze n Poe Day Last edited by Nasreth#4337 on Sep 17, 2015, 4:04:34 PM
