Theorycraft/Discussion: Life/ES Hybrid Cyclone-CoC
I'd like to talk about making a CoC cyclone build with more EHP than other CoC cyclone builds but less DPS. As long as we can survive typical 1shots and instantly releech, we should never end up dying and having 50% less DPS should be irrelevant. I.e. 200k DPS and never dying is better than 800k with 1 death in every 10 maps.
Inspired by Doe's Cast on Cyclone. ---- Potential L95 Tree Passive Skill Tree Double curse is nearby, and the spellcrit nodes could be changed for elemental damage nodes. Also some AoE nodes could be dropped. ---- Gear Uniques Maligaro's Gloves Voll's Protector Armor (potentially swapped out for a vaal regalia) Voll's Devotion Amulet Rares Vagan Dagger Crit chance rings with life, resist, and %ES/%crit craft Belt with chaos resist + flask effect duration + life Boots with 200+ ES, chaos resist Helm with 400+ ES, resists Shield with 300+ ES, spell damage, spell crit chance 4 Surgeon flasks (Granite, Ruby, Saphire, Topaz) 1 Life flask (Catalysed or Sapping) ---- Gems Cyclone - CoC - Ice Nova - Discharge - Life Leech (for purposes of EE) Herald of Thunder - Curse on Hit - Warlord's Mark (-Assassin's Mark) Discipline - Herald of Ice - Enlighten CWDT - Warlord's Mark - Immortal Call (- Frost Wall) Whirling Blades - Faster Attacks - Fortify Flamedash , Decoy Totem, Chaos Golem --- Discussion Expected stats would be 2.5k life and 5k ES (with the lowest ES amounts I specified above). An option would be to drop voll's for a 800 ES vaal regalia. The links would be Cyclone - CoC - Ice Nova - Discharge - Life Leech - PCoC, then have Herald of Ice - Herald of Thunder - Curse on Hit - Assmark. So we'd replace Voll's with two sources of power charge generation (assmark+pcoc). Maybe we could throw in a Romira's in there as well. If it works at all it would be amazing since it would grant us an extra 2.5-3k ES. What are your thoughts? What's your form of mitigation then? Having a high life/ES pool won't mean much if we constantly get hit, a powerful crit/otherwordly would just 1 shot us.

" Well I really believe stacking EHP is best. It defends against phys and elem 1shots at the same time. Also we rely on vaalpact leech to regain HP back and cyclone's stun immunity to keep leeching. But that's just theory I would like to hear from anyone who's tried a similar build. All my builds /view-thread/1430399

I used a defensive build utilizing block/spell block.

It is like lazy paladin setup, but utilize COC trigger spell in all slot. Ideally it would be super build if vagan sell Sai dagger with always hit prefix. It will push my block to 74 (with tempest and 4 block jewel). I'm considering of getting a sai dagger with spell dmg + crit chance + acc stuff and ditch the passive to sanctuary, focus on accuracy node (e.g. versatility, depth perception and from shadow) but not sure it will be better than current setup. It has good survival and decent damage, but it isn't outstanding like PA/SRS build, it cost more and less effective. League: Standard

" I feel like just getting huge EHP and forgetting about chance based stuff like block/acro (or just using a shield+rumi for block, no skill points) is best. Guess I'll have to try it myself. All my builds /view-thread/1430399
