2H Weapons and Sockets...

I had posted this query before as to how 2-Handed Weapons (Melee Specifically) generally seem less balanced and generally have a bit harder being starved on sockets. 1-Handed Weapons can easily get the 3 Sockets while for the 2-Handed Weapons its not till late game they can get 4 or more sockets readily.

Bows have Quivers which already offer extra modifiers to the character. And Ranged Players also have the safety of attacking afar. How is it 2-Handed Melee has it much harder to acquiring these 6 Sockets.

Well, simply put: a 4-socket link is worth FAR more than a 3-socket link.

Earlier in the game, sure, you can average more sockets going with one-handed weapons, but you don't even NEED that many; a half-dozen gems tops is all you need to get through at least Normal and Cruel. (If you're not going self-found and want a big link setup for going through mind-numbingly fast, just buy a Tabula)

It makes perfect sense that it's harder to get a 6L two-hander than two 3L one-handers/shields; the former is FAR more powerful than the pair of 3Ls.
