[2.0]Song of Ice and Fire Tanky,DPSy,Incinerate MoM Witch,Budget,Atziri Down {Up to 304K DPS}
UPDATED 12.08.2015 INTRODUCTION After playin the build up to 89 lvl and checking it on 79 lvl maps this guide will be the compilation of experiences and performance build provides.
Why MoM ? Why investing into mana ?
First of all i HATE Mana Potions. Sustaining Incinerate required a ton of potion spamming... To change it i needed A LOT of mana regeneration nodes. This nodes mostly come also with percent mana ones. MoM costs me ONE point to get and gives me over 600 Ehp almost for free. Gettting the same amount of life with same refill ratio, without resolving to long trip from top part of tree, would be traublesome. But to be honest.. Those demn Mana Potions..
What are the Pros and Cons ?
As every build, MoM incinerate has it's strengths and weaknesses: Pros: + Cheap and easy gearing (upgrades easy to spot) + No mana potions for sustainability – Dear God Yess… + Great clear speed + Can run almost any map mod + Very tanky / High Ehp + Scales easly with buffs Cons: - Can't run blood magic or no mana rege maps or ele reflect (but i do with Ruby flask...) - Incinerate is stationary skill - meaning it takes some time - For end-game requires some specific gear - like LC LEVELING GUIDE
Spoiler
There are two possible skill trees for this build. Each has it's strengths and weaknesses. Templar one gives a little more life, life regen and mana regen but loses a bit of mana pool compared to witch. Our main skill is Incinerate, but it requires a lot of sustainability. That's why first levels are build upon other skills such as Flame Totem, Fire Trap, Lameblast. At least till it’s manageable to switch back to Incinerate. (INFO: If someone doesn't mind mana potions, Incinerate is also viable option even from start, but i hate them...) Witch gets almost every required gem from the go. Templar has to buy some of them or mule them. Setups to use on start could be : 1. Flame Totem – Faster Casting – Lightning Damage 2. Fire Trap – Multitraps And for bosses/rares : 1. Lameblast – Faster Casting or 2. Incinerate – Faster Projectiles – Faster Casting / Spell Echo Also if someone doesn't mind mana pots, till Incinerate is fully sustainable: 1. Incinerate – Faster Projectiles – Lesser Multiple Projectiles – Spell Echo To make life easier, the very good idea would be to also get Elreon jewelery! Bandits

Main strength of the build is fact that it's very versible. While it does require a lot of mana and mana regen on gear – it really doesn't matter if it's STR/INT/DEX based.
What to look for?
Positions with many examples are optional and should be based on the rest of individual setups. Example. If you have 30 dex on gear or ~200% mana regen, you can skip it (attribute) on the rest of gear. Strength is „Good To Have” but not a must. It's very desirable only when you have 6L to suport Iron Will. Helmet – Life/Mana/Resistances Gloves – Life/Mana/Dex-Str/Resistances Boots – Life/Mana/Dex-Str/Movement speed/Resistances Rings – Life/Mana/Mana regen/Resistances/Cast Speed/Dex-Str Amulet – Life/Mana/Mana regen/Cast speed/Spell Damage/Dex-Str Belt – Str base – Life / Resistances / Armour Weapon – Spell Damage/Casting speed/Mana regen/Fire damage to spells Shield – +1/+2 to fire gems/Spell Damage/Casting Speed/Mana/Mana Regen/Life/Resistances Body armour (depends mostly on available currency, best if 5L-6L): - Rare chest – Life/Mana/Armour/Resistances - Cloak of Flames – With popped Ruby flask, gives us flat 17% less physical dmg taken. - Lightning Coil – With popped Topaz flask, gives us flat 25.5% less physical dmg taken. (Best possible armour for end-game) As for flasks its worth to have at least one Hybrid Flasks to refill both pools in case of bigger hits: Also: - One Granite with Iron Skin affix, - One Ruby with Stauching/Heat affix, - One Topaz with Stauching/Heat affix, - Atziri's promise or Quicksilver with Adrenaline affix. GMP – Geater Multiple Projectiles LMP – Lesser Multiple Projectiles SP – Slower Projectiles SE – Spell Echo LL – Life Leech FPen – Fire Penetration IW – Iron Will 4L – Incinerate – GMP/LMP/SP – SE – LL 5L – Incinerate – GMP/LMP/SP – SE – LL – FPen 6L – Incinerate – GMP/LMP/SP – SE – LL – FPen – IW Good to have quality gems: - Incinerate - Quality gives projectile speed. The more projectile speed we have the further Incinerate flames will reach. - Life Leech – With current leech changes, the more we leech back per sec the better. Other qualities only give more DPS either via „Increased damage” or „Increased cast speed”. When to GMP or LMP ? LMP can be used to clear groups if someone doesn't want to lose DPS because of GMP penalty (26% when lvled). Tooltip DPS will be much higher but AoE of Incinerate will suffer. GMP is an option for wider spread of flames. It's easier to cover whole groups without resolving to „flames-shaking” left and right. With high enough DPS, the penalty of GMP doesn’t really matter as packs die fast enough. There are also two possible switch gems for the same slot as GMP such as: Faster Projectiles and Slower Projectiles. Both can be used as utility gems in certain situations: Faster Projectiles – Mainly used when you dont have quality Incinerate or for Atziri runs. Increases by a bit our DPS. Slower Projectiles – Mostly for bosses to speed up runs. It gives huge bost to DPS but at an expense of smaller range of flames (up to 50% LESS!). My current Incinerate setup (Haven’t invested yet into quality on everything :^) Good to have utility gems: Flame Dash – Great skill, helps to run from AoE skills and Strongboxes Blood Rage – It’s very easy to run BR for free frenzy charges when we require more dmg. Flame Totem – Helps to mitigate incoming dmg and works as a „Scouting warrior”. I'm runnig it with Increased Rarity to finish off bosses. Flamability – Curse – Helps incase of resistance maps or to increase output DMG.
Defensive Combo-Wombo
CWDT – Arctic Breath - Molten Shell - Temporal Chains And for bosses (to keep the bussy): Summon Chaos Golem - Vaal Skeletons - Fortify - Minion and Totem Elemenal Resistance AURAS
Spoiler
Build utilizes three mana reservation skills – Anger, Arctic Armour and Clarity. Their main purpose is to provides huge boost for DMG or survivability or sustainability. Because we also use MoM the 14% less mana reservation nodes on tree help a lot build a larger mana pool for it. After percent reservation for Anger and Arctic Armour, we are left with 35% mana pool for MoM, which can be further increased with investment into Enlighten. Changes to Clarity made it "not so impactful" on smaller mana pools without previous 1.3.0 EB. Depending on gear it might be even not required to run Clarity, but i dont mind it as it only takes around 88 mana from my resulting mana pool, leaving me with ~650 mana (no enlighten :<). Possible links for auras:

Same setup for reference with Iron Will as possible 6L: UPDATE: With quality games dps will be 2-3k higher. Upper part has updated screenshots. For test purposes my quality 6L IW setup had (with 4 Frenzy Charges and Anger): using SP: 38k TT DPS using GMP: 22.5k TT DPS using FP: 32k TT DPS UPDATE: For max DPS on single 0 resistance target: Flameability 1.44 multipler Fire penetration 1.39 multipler base max dps 38k TT Stage 3 incinerate 4.0 multipler 38 000 * 4 * 1.44 * 1.39 ~= 304 000 Single Target DPS. DEFENCES
Spoiler
There are three main defence layers used to mitigate incoming dmg: - First one is combined LESS physical dmg multipler – Arctic Armour gives flat 13% (at 20lvl) less physical dmg taken while not moving (Incinerate uses channeling, meaning – we are not moving while using it – great!), Summon Chaos Golem gives 3% less physical dmg taken. Giving us base of 16%. - Second one is „Damage Conversion” – Cloak of Flames and Lightning Coil provide nice mitigation by DMG conversion from physical to elemental (flame/lightning). With 75%+ elemental resistance, each armor mitigates from 17% to 25% incoming physical damage. - Third one is Armour – Running Granite flask with Iron Skin affix with nodes from tree, increases estimated physical damage reduction up to 56% ! Resulting in a VERY TANKY char :^)...

For me personally best lvling armour for the build was: While it doesnt give us any life, good roll can help easly cap fire resistance providing flat 17% physical dmg reduction. 10% chance to ignite works well with node Celestial Punishment increasing our dmg by 25%. I did use it till 7X lvl when i bought Lightning Coil. Through Rare 5l chest is also a good option, as it provides more utility via life/mana/dex-str/resistance affixes. Till high lvl almost anything with life and resistances is a good pick. For a certain amount of time i was also using: to help me fix dexterity and mana regen problems. For start good lvling weapon could be: With help of: and . Gear choices part of guide describes pretty well what is worth to look for on gear :) My current items setup for reference:

Hey,
Is this build HC Viable? |
|
If you have required gear - yes. If you plan on acquiring currency while lvling - partially.
For option two aka lvling i would invest a lot more into life nodes, while you won't have the gear required to support MoM. Later on when mana pool is big enouth its understandable to switch them into more utility or dmg. Hope that answers your question. ps. I have to update current stats section as a lot has changed.
