Emberwake, Event 34: 1 Hour Emberwake

This is a Signature Event. The top three experience value records across all signature races for each class wins an alternate art Demigod's Beacon at season end. You can view the current top three participants by class here.

Signature Races are Fixed Seed events, meaning that each participant plays through the same area layouts. In addition, all Signature races in a Season will use the same layout.

Prisoner's Gate should be renamed Racer's Sprint. Get in and get out as quickly as possible. =^[.]^=

So disappointing. My best race RNG ever. My strat was to farm the corrupted zone and it bugged out after my first run. I couldn't get back in or remake so 16mins farming Northern forest =/

Tried logging out, travelling to distant node, nothing worked... just wasted time.
4th ranger, had a pretty decent run.

I was unfamiliar with the race so I built rather defensively and stuck to safe zones. Looks like that was really all it took, but I was killing a lot slower than I would have liked.

Alched the bow in the Cavern of Anger, but I forgot rain of arrows so my AOE was impeded for a lot of the race until I hit chamber of sins 2 waypoint and nabbed LMP ice shot from Nessa.

I opted to skip Tidal Island, I'm still not convinced it's worth the sidetrack in a 1 hour race if you're not pushing.

A really great start ruined by having absolutely no weapon drops or on vendors. Thanks for nothing, Gruest. A poleaxe finally drops in level 23 zone with 5 minutes to go. Monsters start dying.

Also had to logout in western to alira martyr stunlock at 4 hp... thats what happens when you have to wear double iron rings the whole race i guess.

EDIT: LOL just took a look at my gear... 6 white pieces! I have 1 chance orb left as currency too (all the transmutes I scrounged up were used to make purchases). I guess I am bad at racing.

Fidelitas is crazy! I'm spectral throwing it next time lol.

this maul from Hillock though!
Playing with 70-80ms ping, which is causing long loading between zones,
resulting in 2-4 minutes disadvantage in 1 hour races.
(I was wrong, it wasn't a ping issue but something else on GGG side)

Many thanks to Hailrake for that early Crown of Thorns. =^[.]^=
