Purity of Elements affecting Purity of Fire

Playing RF with 87% resist and enough regen. When i am solo i have no problems, but when in a party with someone who has Purity of Elements and i get in range of them my hp starts dropping. It doesn't show in the defence tab but my guess is that i lose 3% maximum fire resist from Purity of Fire.

Are you sure you're not running into a Discipline Aura, increasing the amount of Damage per Second you take?
