Malachai and 0 FPS: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Buy Kills
So, hadnt been able to no-life at launch as much as I usually do and just got to Malachai on Norm earlier today.
Over farmed and leveled far more than I usually do, got tanky, got the deeps, breezed through everything on the way to Malachai, walked into Malachi room, Malachai appears, FPS drops to zero, FPS catch up and Malachai is laughing maniacally over my corpse after, what can only surmise was, a Tele-Slam. I was pretty hyped during Beta as the game had been optimized just enough to a point I could comfortably do the Dom fight, but it appears I will now be buying Malachai kills instead of Dom kills for the same reason; FPS clusterfuck stranger danger. Now, I do have a shitty PC, but it was still disappointing to discover I couldnt enjoy the new fight, which I quite like btw. I did do the fight on Standard and made it to the last heart on the second phase before my 5 FPS Slug Toss dodging skills gave way to a RIP and my resignation. I will say I love the new content and the new fights and hope the waves of QQ do not neuter them too much. Noblesse oblige

" The fight itself is pretty bad even on a better system such as the one I'm playing on with sudden extreme fps drops. I have 40ish fps around Malachai but sometimes this drops to 3 or 4 and then it skips some frames with some stuff you have to dodge making my character die (and making it totally impossible to do this on hardcore). |

I do not believe you've learned to stop worrying.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
