~~ New support gem: Hypothermia = The Soul Taker BUFF !! <---

So... i came here for your advice about build in 2.0. For now i was ready to use facebreaker cyclone but after that gem which gives 20% more dmg at lvl 1, which will be prolly 40% more dmg at 20lvl soul taker will be similar and maybe better than facebreakers.

The question is now, should i buy some 6l chests or keep using BOR?

I was thinking about jarcass jack.
For cyclone or even cleave its a good chest imo.
What do u guys think? Should i wait for some new 6l chests in 2.0 or just buy carcass 6l and use some other helmet instead?

And with jarcacss should i go for aegis aurora shield? or just go dual wield or maybe soul taker + saffels/armour shield??

What do u guys think about new soul taker buff? RIP Facebreaker?

facebreakers can also use hatred, y'know.

still single hatred aura has less chance to chill than soul taker right?

Matter of how often you can actually hit really, instead of "chance"(afaik, chill doesn't have a "chance"; every damage source that can chill will chill, as long as enough damage is dealt).

If you hit often and hard enough, then the chill will be there to be reapplied, and damage multiplier will still be in effect.

by my experience in FB, this is probably the case. Of course, Soul Taker will have a larger duration for chilling as it's the total physical damage being considered there, instead as a portion of, like Hatred.

Ok i see... I tested DPS with Soul taker + shield vs Facebreaker + Shield and still FB wins... i think we need more buffs to 1h axe (ST)... fb is so good with flat phys dmg....

I'd like to add that the Unarmed playstyle gets a lot of support with 2.0, like +4 range and 20% increased AoE while unarmed Jewels, as well as a new glove.

in its defense, Soul Taker will consistently chill longer, as FB is dependent on your other gear pieces.

Yea and thats my point, FB > legacy ST sadly....
I only like Soul taker, cuz its an axe and u can get Slaughter from the passive tree, and u got 10% chance to gain Onslaugh buff on kill... thats only one thing which is better for ST

nvm, its 40% more dmg to chilled enemies, insane buff to soul taker, rip facebreakers

who da fuk cares about a 280 dps 1h if u can deal big hits with this baby

im pretty sure with the new unarmed jewels added to the game i doubt soul taker will compete unless u rlly like to use double strike or cleave.

note: even if soul taker can keep enemys chilled oftenly than unarmed that doesnt mean its going to hav more dps than unarmed which im pretty sure has more even without that gem.

Your whole "test" is a joke. You test with a 200% soultaker while a perfect soultaker today has ony 140%. Same goes for your 955% FB.
