2H sword users, what do you use for aoe?

Currently playing a build that is specced around 2H swords....so far lightning strike has seemed really weak, whether I use it with pierce or chain and even using it with quality iron grip it's just not cutting it.

I've also been using leapslam with concentrated effect, increased area of effect and added fire damage. ...that adds a % of your physical damage as fire damage. ....it does decent damage but since swords are pretty fast any other spec could do way more with a slow 2h weapon.

So I'm really concerned....is there even a single aoe skill that is better for 2h swords than other weapon types? ....or are we just supposed to wait for ggg to make some new skill gems to make 2h sword spec worth anything?

Really enjoying the spec but it does feel lacking in the aoe department.

Any tips or feedback would be appreciated maybe I'm missing something.

I've been using cleave and leap slam for aoe, also frenzy+flicker can clean up trash mobs fairly well. But Honestly swords doesn't really have anything comparable to ground slam.

Yeah I heard ggg mention they are making some new skill gems for claws//daggers wonder if 2H swords will get any love or a gem that they can use.....cause if aoe is lackluster now and I'm just in merc act 3 not even at maps yet it'll be all but useless in maps with a full game.

Yeah pretty much. I was just in a map not a minute ago. I jumped into a group of lightning skeletons and was cleaving no problem then I instantly died somehow. Still don't know what but I think it was a shocked miscreation using lightning warp for 1500 damage followed by a few of the lightning skeletons hitting me in short succession. I have 3,000 life and 75% to all elemental resists.
