Righteous Fire - questsions

Hey, I have a few questions about this skill, would appreciate if someone could answer. Been playing PoE for a long time but never actually tried RF builds before.

1) Does it make sense to try and stack ES where you can on a life build and vice versa, life on ES build? Do you burn for 50% of life and es, or just 50% of whatever is greater? It seems you could get quite a big boost by running discipline on a life build, plus having a few pieces of hybrid armour/es gear.

2) This is tied to the question above. If RF deals damage of 50% of your life and es can you snapshot the damage? For example turn on RF while standing next to someone giving a very powerful version of Discipline (generosity, plus passives for increase aura effect) and equipping gear that gives massive amounts of ES and life.

3) Does anything scale RF other then burning damage (passive+support), fire damage and concentrated effect gem? Wiki states that increased spell damage has no effect, which is strange to me since quality on RF gives... increased spell damage. Is this outdated info? Does increased spell/elemental damage work?

4) Do bonuses from RF gem level, pain attunement and conc effect multiply each other or they add up and then multiply the base value?

5) Are enemies under RF effect considered ignited? Would Flame Surge deal bonus damage against them, or wearing Pyre unique ring mean you leave no corpses behind?
1) You burn enemies for 50% of your life and energy shield, which means their sum.

2) No, you can't snapshot it anymore.

3) Righteous fire deals damage over time, which is one of four base damage types and is exclusive with spell damage which is another. Any damage in the game must be either attack, spell, secondary or DoT, it's only one of those and that's why spell damage bonus doesn't work. Elemental damage bonuses work fine, except for Elemental Dominion at witch starting area which specifically affects 'spell elemental damage'.

4) If they added up they wouldn't be multipliers.

5) No, ignite is a specific status effect that does burning damage, not everything that burns was ignited. Pyre won't destroy corpses, however, Flame Surge doesn't require targets to be ignited to get damage bonus, they only need to be burning.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

1-2) you burn for both life and es combined

stacking ES means you need more regen

3) fire/elemental/AoE/burning

burn can never deal spell damage, it is different base damage type (DoT)

4) they are both separate multipliers that apply to spell damage

5) no, ignite is status ailment that comes from crit or chance to ignite on hit (or overkill damage with HoA). flame surge does not require enemies to be ignited
