Enduring Cry without Spell Echo

It was revealed that (probably in 1.4.0 (act 4 release)) there will be a new category of skills called "Warcry". The already existing Enduring Cry will probably be included in that category.

That change means (among other things) that Spell Echo will have no effect on Enduring Cry. Generating endurance charges in a 1-on-1 situation is already quite clunky, so two possible solutions came to my mind (sorry if these have already been suggested):

Suggestion 1:
Enduring Cry could be buffed so that at a certain gem level it would give one additional Endurance Charge as long as there is at least one enemy in range, something like this:

Enduring Cry
31 Endurance Charges granted per one hundred nearby enemies (this already gives a minimum of 1 charge)
1 additional Endurance Charge granted when at least one enemy is nearby

Resulting in 2 charges per cast against one enemy. The additional charge granted could increase to 2 at a higher gem level.

Suggestion 2:
There could be a new notable passive near the Marauder starting area for warcries:

Warcry of Blood (or something else less cheesy)
Gain an Endurance Charge when using a warcry (could add this condition to prevent cheesing: if an enemy is nearby)
Additional 100% of a warcry's mana cost removed from life

With this, any warcry would grant an additional Endurance Charge, so Enduring Cry would grant a minimum of 2 charges.

I'm not sure if this is an appropriate forum to post this in, since this is about future content that we don't know much about, but I wanted to post about this since I'm concerned about the future of Enduring Cry.

I suggest adding a "Cry when damage taken" gem.
ITT: OP forgets that Enduring Cry was still really good before Spell Echo was ever in the game.

Indeed, a fully levelled EC will give you 4-5 charges on any decently sized crowd, and our level 5 enduring cries can't be echoed anyway :)
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

It should still cost an extra socket though. How about with Enhance or Empower (quality or level 23 bonus)?

I usually kill Oak in time when he is crying ;) What probably will be our fate if those changes will be implemented... :(

You know, there was a suggestion once that for purposes of enduring cry (and now other warcry skills) magic monsters should count as two enemies, rares as five and bosses as ten.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Who's to say GGG won't release a "cry echo" support gem? :P
Warcry's sound quite good already, hyped :D

It's not a 13 week development cycle, it's a 13 week supporter-pack cycle.
You can play any build you want, as long as it's the current meta.
