LMP + fork + chain? What happens?

If i use LMP, Fork and Chain will it:

>Make me shoot 3 lightning arrows
>When these arrows hit enemies, it will split into 6 arrows in total
>These 6 arrows wuill chain 2 times.

I'm my opinion through testing and whatnot. Using chain and fork together produced undesierable results. Simply because, the projectile forks before it chains. It doesn't fork and chain on that first hit. So if there are only a few mobs. Your projectile will fork. And possibly miss the others all together before it has a chance to chain.

Its a better combo to just use fork + LMP / GMP + Faster Projectiles to offset the damage reduction.

To be precise, this is what I read from searching the web yesterday: The projectile will only have 1 effect at a time. This means that the forked projectile will not automatically home to the next enemy before it hits a target.

So for my understanding, Lightning Arrow + LMP + fork + chain will work as:
- Shoots 3 LAs.
- For each one that hits something, it forks into 2 LAs which fly at designed angle behind that 'something'.
- If the forked LA hits something, it won't disappear (be absorbed) and will change direction to hit 2 more targets.


I was hoping that if fork and chain were working at the same time, the supported projectile if used on a single target will, after hitting that target, fork into 2 projectiles which come back to hit that target instead of flying away. Haven't tested it but I think it will not be the case :(

Edit: Also, unless you use Edritch Battery or spell totem/range attack totem, it's not realistic to use LMP + fork + chain as the mana cost is huge (+175% or a total of 275%).
