Best Flasks to use
Hello, I am playing a dual wield dagger crit shadow with main skills dual strike and reave / lightning strike against phys reflect.
Right now I am using these flasks: What could I change / improve? |

I always only use 2 life flasks, both with anti bleed. Anti burn for me is never needed theres because theres no burn in the whole game that is dangerous at all, except from some big ass flameblast but even then im pretty sure a high regen flask is enough to survive it.

I always use 2 seething life flasks (hallowed) with bleeding/frozen, an ample quiksilver of adrenaline and 2 utility flask including one with anti curse.
For your setup the anti burn is indeed not so useful, and you should change it to anti curse. I'm not a fan of panicked/surgeon on life flasks, I think the best way to avoid deaths is to always be at full life, which is why I use instant flask potions (bubbling/seething). However, if you like the regen over time provided by your flasks, keep them :) |

Why everyone advice Hallowed when Divine has more life on It, and when used as instant(seething?) It is only that matters, i think

Thanks for the replies!
I'd like to quote this: For critical strike based characters, the Surgeon's prefix offers an additional source of charges. For these, the Eternal Life Flask offers the best life rate. Do you think the same or recomment something different? I agree with you Porcoflic, the instant recovery on low life sucks, especially if you have a lag :D I will try to get a bubbling and an anti bleeding / freeze aswell as a quicksilver. |

saturated hallowed life flask (prefered) or saturated sanctified mana flask of: iron skin, reflexes, gluttony (on the mana), craving (on the life), adrenaline, or warding
also i prefer panicked over seething and only my necromancer made a use out of bubbling. sapping flasks should be on every blood magic user's bar. |

These flasks are just amazing! German saying: Schönheit und Funktionalität in Sekundenschnelle zu ruinieren, ist dem wahren Dilettanten keine Herausforderung!
torturo: "Though, I'm really concerned, knowing by practice the capabilities of the balance team." top2000: "let me bend your rear for a moment exile" |

Wow this flask sounds amazing!
I don't really like the saturating ones, I will try to get a warding one but I prefer instant heal that doesn't depend on being low life. |

Yeah, everyone recommending Hallowed life flasks, like, haven't played since 1.2 hit? The level 65 flasks (Divine) are now optimal, and even Eternal flasks are better than Hallowed.
Edit: To actually contribute to the discussion, I really like builds that don't give a shit about life. I have a low life SRS summoner with a shav's and a CI Detonate Dead character. The former uses 2x rumi's and a bunch of resistance flasks, the latter uses rumi's or atziri's promise depending on the situation, and also resistance flasks. The resistance flasks always have one of anticurse, antibleed, or antiburn. I would never use a mana flask in late game, though my RF marauder (which I haven't played since 1.2 hit) obviously has life flasks. Last edited by codetaku#0468 on Jan 21, 2015, 3:08:45 PM

i only said hallow (and saturated) because it makes a long duration "buff" potion.
of course actual healing is sacred flasks. |
