Standard Character PvP Events are a Bad Idea

People have too much gear to make self exploding characters. It's funny the first 2-3 times but after that it just destroys the experience. The PvP events should be in the temporary leagues. But not only that, if it isn't already, you've got to ban cast on death it's just stupped.

It's one of the cheapest builds to make if anything. All you need are a lot of sockets.

And even if GGG banned CoD, then something else would spring up with some legacy something or another. Why host PvP in the league designed to retain imbalance?!? I get the feeling they are starting out in Standard to collect (im)balance data, temporarily. But just throwing my 2 cents in the pile that competitive PvP in standard league is just not worth bothering with in the long wrong.

What are you talking about, I'm a bronze supporter, been here for a while. I have tons of OP things in my standard stash including Charan's level 28 fire sword, searing touch, and legacy silverbranch 900% facebreaker etc. I just don't see the point in having a competition rooted in who has this stuff as opposed to who can make the better build in a more balanced setting.
